If its true about size vs weight, new vs old 1-series. Then I will be impressed and intrested in the next one.

^^ For real. And I'm already jealous of SKY's possible 128i M pack 3 door! Will be absolutely fantastic in every possible way (except engine sound perhaps)

It all deppends on whether I stay on Spain or move to the USA, where I´m not too sure this new 1er will be available. I expect to ern more money on the US to maybe a 3er would be a better option.

Anyway it´s almost certain I´m buying a bimmer in a year and a half.

@ Klier. Are you not on the list for a 6er Coupe like you were for the original 645i Coupe?

The M-Sport Packet for the 1er will not take as long to come to the market as previous E87 which was a year.

And when are we gonna see the 3dr?.

That 1 Series with the M Sport Package looks very nice indeed.

There out there , They just have to look out for them.
Some photographers go out and snap a 1er and then another 1er until another one drives by and they say I have already got enough 1er's. and say "Screw you guys I am going home"
And it is the 3dr they ignore.

No, sadly not. I'm currently in a 320d (M pack FL), and I am keeping it until the F32 comes out.
Though if I had 140k Euros to spend, I would have been on the list no doubt. The 6er coupe blows my mind
Good memory though! I was pretty much the first one in my country with the E63. And one of the few with SMG gearbox (which I personally liked a lot)

Will it have Mini's 1.6T engine?

I hope not to offend you but, was the E63 much cheaper so you could buy it back in the day?. It had to be a big change to go from the 645ci to the 320d.

The E63 was pretty much twice as expensive as the E90 Actually more.
But 1 liter Euro 98 costs €1.95 now, so I'm happy

They will make use of the new N20 in the 1er, and probably the upcoming 3 cylinder too, but that engine is not official yet. Though that 3 cylinder might find it's way to the Mini. But the N20 will not.

Autobild talking about R4 Turbo engines for the next 3er. I assume same engines are coming for the new 1er.
