The pictures of when it was being presented look awesome, but when it was parked up its looks Sh!t(no offense to Aston lover). If i had the money and the could wait that long i would have one, but it wouldn't be the first car that comes into my mind when i wont to buy a car
Thanks DuPont: Aston Martin DBS now available in Racing Green When the good ship Lotto comes into port for us, one of the items very high on the shopping list is the Aston Martin DBS, which adds a dash of toughness to the slinky lines of the DB9 and generally causes the car-aware to trip over their tongues. Thanks to some recent updates over on Aston Martin's media site, we now know what color we're ordering ours in after Yolanda Vega pulls that crucial sixth matching number out of the lottery contraption. The color is Racing Green -- specifically, Aston Martin Racing Green. This is the same shade developed by DuPont for Prodrive's Le Mans-winning Aston Martin Racing DBR9, and with those dark gray wheels, all that's missing is the yellow or orange "lipstick" around the radiator grille for maximum effect. Incidentally, the other colors announced for the DBS are Lightning Silver, Infa Red, and Casino Royale (heh). For good measure, we'd also snag a Velocity Yellow Corvette Z06 to bolster the GT1 wing of the mythical Autoblog Super Garage. Yeah, we tend to daydream a bit on Fridays.
I looked at the price for one... It's about the same as the 599 here! That's dangerously close to the supercars, I think I'd rather get a standard DB9 to be honest. If only they transplanted the nice interior to the DB9 in a facelift or something.
^^ to be absolutely honest, I'm not 100% that I love those extra moldings/styling destails -- the normal DB9 was much cleaner looking. Having said that, it is still a very beautiful car.

Seriously though, make no mistake the 599GTB is a stunning car also, but it just isn't quite as pretty. You do get superior performance from it though. For it too has a world's greatest title, the best GT car you can current purchase. The DBS is the best looking, the 599 the best performing. M
My only problem with the car is not that it has the extra racing styling details, but it unfortunately doesn't offer the hard core performance to back it up. But whatever, it is too good looking...
Aston Martin DBS gets new gearbox Life at Aston Martin is about to get busy. At the Paris motor show this week the company will unveil an automatic version of its DBS supercar – along with a few other tweaks – before the next 18 months sees launches of the DBS Volante, Rapide, Vantage V12 RS and One-77. The Aston Martin DBS has finally got an automatic? Finally? It’s barely been 12 months since the DBS was launched, but a self-shifter does seem to suit the personality of the big Brit. Dubbed ‘Touchtronic 2’, the ZF transaxle unit is based on the six-speed automatic found in the DB9, but beefed-up to cope with the extra power and performance of the DBS – in case you need a refresh, the DBS has a 510bhp 6.0-litre V12. Leather-trimmed magnesium alloy paddles replace the gearstick and to make sure the DBS Touchtronic can match the manual (both hit 62mph in 4.3 seconds), the final drive ratio has been shortened while Aston is also claiming to have recalibrated the ‘box, leading to more aggressive gear shifts. A ‘Sport’ button on the centre console ups the ferocity of changes even more, while shifts in automatic mode occur at higher rpm. The Sport mode also means a sharper throttle response. What about these other DBS tweaks? Although DBS customers are buying the most sporting Aston currently available, they still apparently want the chance to carry three passengers. So while a rear storage area remains standard, a 2+2 seating arrangement is now a £2495 option. New ten-spoke 20-inch forged aluminium are also now on the options list. They feature a diamond-turned surface, with either a silver (£1995) or graphite (£2495) finish and Aston is claiming they reduce unsprung mass on each corner by 2kg. Anything else? Yes. The first fruits of Aston’s tie-up with Bang and Olufsen are starting to appear, so the DBS is now available with a new BeoSound system. Total output is a huge 1000w, delivered through ten speakers, including a few which rise out of the top of the dashboard. The system comes as standard on the DBS, so prices for the manual rise from £160k to £162,500, while the Touchtronic starts at £165k. Aston Martin DBS Ultimate - new details released Reportedly starts at $287,576Aston Martin has released new details about the DBS Ultimate.Available as a coupe or convertible, the model features a black grille, tinted taillights and carbon fiber mirror caps. There's also black alloy wheels, colored brake calipers (in yellow, black or red) and black tailpipes.Inside, the cabin is equipped with diamond-quilted leather upholstery, an Alcantara headliner and embossed headrests. There's also carbon fiber trim and red leather accents on the gear shift paddles.Performance specifications haven't been announced, but the model likely has a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 517 PS (380 kW / 510 hp) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. It should enable the coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 190 MPH (305 KM/H).According to Autoblog, the DBS Ultimate will be launched in June and production will be limited to 100 units.
