Wow, your dad sure doesn't mess around James ...he obviously loved this car a lot ...congratulations to your father ...and to you too :t-cheers:

Wow man congrats !!, btw if you dont mind would you tell us how much was the final price ? I notice you live in Singapore, isnt luxury car price is like triple there compared to European price ?

Thank you. You played a part in the decision-making too, as with all the replies on this board. :t-cheers:

Sure thing. We paid about USD250,000 for the Sport GT.

Congrats. The Gt is the way to go. Everyone who have tested it says that the gearbox is much better than the one in the odrinary 4porte.

Give us your honest opinions. I would love to hear Roberto's comments especially... We took very long to decide on this combination, and working out my father's preferences along with making sure everything matches is surely one tiresome process.

I've heard comments like 'white isn't for a Maserati!' and 'red brake calipers?'

Would love to hear from the forum (though I sincerely hope we chose the right combination). :t-cheers:

Honestly, it's a great combo. Loving the interior better than exterior though. Anyhow, nice.(y)

The interior colour choice is perfekt. Brown, not too dark and not too light. As for the exterior white can look very good on some cars, but if you are to choose white for an elegant car like the 4porte the colour better be pearl white and not bathroom white.
I'm a fan of the 4porte and have seen it in several colour and it simply doesn't look its best in light colours. The colour to choose are either maroon, a gorgeous blue colour or racing green. Those are the colour I think suits the 4porte's design and personality. i still remember the green one I saw a couple of months ago, it was simply breath taking.

You want my opinion James? ......what a nice compliment ..thanks :)

I honestly agree with Tycoon ......it looks fantastic, a really great choice! (y)

BTW, I really like the red brake calipers ....the whole thing is beautiful and tasteful.

I can say only one thing. Excellent choise. This car simply stands out of the crowd and this combo makes it even more beautiful! Great choise and congratulations!

    Thanks everyone. :)

You're right, we specifically made it a priority that we did not get a solid white colour... We checked out the colour we had (Bianco Eldoraro), it looks good, with a tinge of ivory in its tone. It doesn't show very well on the configurator, though.

Those colours are really exciting, and personally, I would go for one of them (probably green), but it's my father's car after all. (y)

The dealer actually advised us to go for a more conventional trim to go with that interior colour... Something like Walnut, or Rosewood. But in the end, we went for the piano.

Hopefully the car will turn out to have the same colour as the Aston below. How much extra do you have to pay for the colour?

    Quattroporte is hot!!!

Driven it in white and it is really exceptional, but too much money for a car with such power. But looks sick, i saw one with 22" chrome wheels... VERY SEXY!

PS that color is very sick. The Aston is sick!!!
  13. Mr. M Well-Known Member

Yeah, hopefully. It's about USD15k for the special birdcage white colour also used for the MC12.
  14. Mr. M Well-Known Member

Well, here it's cheaper than an S500, which has a 5.5L V8 with 388bhp, I believe. It's the same price as a 750Li, which has a 4.8L V8 with 360bhp. So I don't see how the price is too high for the Qporte... Especially since it's a limited production car.

    Thank you. ;)

I remeber the cost to be roughly $100K on the sticker of the one i was in. :t-hands: . Perhaps im mistaken, not saying its not worth it, but its just too much for that size engine if it had a 5.5 V8 i'd say its the car to get! Very cool, and very different.

Some examples of the white (taken at the showroom):

I'd say it has a tinge of ivory to it (almost unnoticeable); the birdcage white was much more off-white though.

IMO, the intierior can use some a majory upgrade in higher quality materials. Other than that the car not only looks but sounds good as well. Where's my E60 M5??? :t-hands: :t-cheers:
  18. Mr. M Well-Known Member

Yes, I don't like the green lighting that comes on at night... Strangely reminds me so strongly of FIAT. :D

However the car is generally very richly endowed.

    Mirage, how about this interior:

  20. Mr. M Well-Known Member

That's great too Tycoon...Frankly, we were literally spoilt for choice. That interior looks too similar to the one in the Phaeton now, that's why we didn't go for it. Oh yes, I have to mention that seat leather piping colour is an option. And so is special ultra-soft treated Poltrona Frau leather - a cool USD15,600. It's supposedly softer, more refined to the touch. I thought Roberto would be interested, although I've never seen this interior anywhere before. Guess it's too pricey.

Nevertheless, our order was confirmed yesterday.. Now is the long wait. (y)
