I really disaggree with you about the CLS! In my opinion it's a great looking car. The design takes getting used to, but overall it's conclusive.

No way! Mercedes has made far uglier cars in the past than the R-Class, and the CLS being here is really ridiculous.

Im not familiar with old Benz Models. Im sure there are old Benzes that are uglier than these two but since I know more about Benz from about 1998 til today , these two are my choices.

EDIT: first generation A-class is also one of my cars on this list.

The CLS has been voted one of the most beautiful MB cars countless times, I would have to agree that it's not ugly. It is a very original design and brought "sexy" to Mercedes.

I love CLS but i don't see why some are amazed to see it here, it's one of these cars that you either love it or hate it.

Guys, easy... Just say or post a pic of the car(s) and that's it. No need for discussions or eventually fights.

For me, that old 1990 pig CL in the 1st place, A class, R class, W210, C sportcoupe, previous generation SLK... I don't like CLS as well, but it's not ugly like those before.

None of the cars given so far here are really ugly. Sure it is very easy to find unflattering pictures of the W210. I can find the same on the W220 or any other Mercedes. What I'm seeing here is that apart from the W210 wagon there really haven't been any truly ugly Mercedes' in the last 20 years or so. Seems there is a struggle to find a truly ugly Mercedes at least of recent years. I'll post some pics of some from a while back that I thought were unattractive. None of these cars rise to the level of being "most ugliest Mercedes ever produced". Think about that designation.

R-Class, W210, A-class, 1st gen. SLK, C Sport Coupe.

For me, there were no real ugly Mercedes, at least i can't remember one.

The C140 is really not a beauty though.

But if there is one car that I trulky hate... It is the first-generation A-Class, the Vaneo and the V-Class. These were not the badge worth.
The Vaneo was ugly, the V-Class the least reliable Mercedes of all-time, and the first A-Class had such a comfort, finition and motor that it was everything but a Mercedes for me.

So V-Class, first A-Class, Vaneo and then C140. These are those who come to my mind.

With all due respect, but I might suggest those who said the CLS is one of the ugliest Mercedes ever to re-consider their decision.

OK so the CLS may not please everyone, but the one below is just wilfully ugly.

The Vaneo was without a doubt an atrocity to the Mercedes-Benz name.

Yeah the Veneo is ugly. But in my books the CLS is also up there along with Maybach's exterior (the interior is beautiful). But the F200 takes the cake if concepts also count.
