Your taste is not vulgar ...mine, however, is.

I want my Mercs to be covered with Swarovski crystals and swathed in zebra-striped printed leather.

LOL come now Rob. I know you've got to be kidding.

You know I'm just trying to get one of your insightful breakdowns/interpretations about why you feel the OCD is pimped and the Rollers not. (y)

^^ I'm not really in the mood for an argument Mohammed ...it was a passing comment -- said without any real great thought behind it.

^^I am sorry for being so rude to you yesterday Mahammed ...quite unnecessary of me to talk to you like that.

Of course I was joking about the crystals and zebra print.

Well, I do think the ODC is more "blingy" than the Rolls ...but that is because this is a Concept.

I don't want to go too deep into this because it will bore everyone to death ...but I feel this car design is very theatrical ...quite self-consciously so.

This car "feels" like it comes straight out of a William Gibson 'Cyberpunk' novel.

It is quite a classical style though ....it would fit with the set design in the famous 1924 Fritz Lang film 'Metropolis'. It also has a cool feel about it ...but sort of retro-deco ....but with the electric feeling of a customized classic car like the one below:

Miami's contemporary architecture is high-tech modern but with a tropical sexyness about it ...and an electric feel to it. The ODC would fit right in with this style.

    Architecture by Luis Revuelta.

This vehicle needs to happen for the 2010 FL of the S-Class.

Scratch that - It needs to precede the 2010 FL by about six months. I think MB is on track to deliver... Afterall, the Ocean Drive will essentially be a facelifted S-Klasse with some custom bodywork and a drop-top.

Well either or, long as it happens during the W221's production cycle, I don't want to wait until 2012-13 for it.

Guys, I wouldn`t even bother comparing the S-Class with the Ocean Drive.
The styling of these cars are quit different. An Ocean Drive like face/lift just wouldn`t cut it on the S-Class imo.

When the time of the f/l comes for the S, I don`t believe MB will change the shape of the headlights. Thay fit the body too well.

I would like to see the next generation S mimic the OD is some manner.

The body language of the S-Class is very formal and excutive, lavished with
luxury. The Ocean Drive is more romantic, much less formal than the S-Class!
