Attended the premier of the new E-Class Coupe in Munich today. This thing looks really good in the flesh. It's very seductive overall. Overall there is not much to report on. The interior is great. It's roomy and feels well-made and that little black bar at the end of the C-Pillar doesn't bother you (at least me) at all. I was afraid that it would stand out and ruin the overall elegance of the car - but it didn't. Seeing this car in real life is a must for everyone. I stayed around and listend to what people said. Most folks liked it and were delighted that the prices didn't rise. Still, most folks complained that the car is still very expensive and overpriced, something it inherited from the CLK I suppose. Great pictures, Christian. I have to admit that I'm in love with the E-Class coupe. Like it much more than it's competitors (A5 and 3er E92). Whilst 2009 is the summer of the A5 Cabrio (you'll see it quite often in MUC within the next months), 2010 will be the year of the E-Class Cabrio.
That E500 in the black is stunning!!! Love the dark colors and Rims on this car. WOw. Black on beige.. mmmmmmmmmmmmm
Exterior is great. Really like it, Interior is just terrible compared to the expensive looking exterior. The interior looks two or three classes below the exterior in terms of design...
I've seen both A5 and E-class Coupe on the same Autoshow. I wasnt impressed by the E Coupé. A5 have the elegance and apperance , the benz lack.
Perfect photos!! Can't wait to see it in real life!!! Looks stunning, especially from the outside!!! Sadly, I'm not so familiar with the interior…it's to much E-Class for my opinion and I really miss sth. Coupeish…!

Nice job wimmer. You continue to shoot great images and the video quality looks fine... except too much panning instead of some fixed shots and then edited. I understand the shooting situation though and realize you wanted to document the entire car. Good stuff...:t-cheers: Exterior looks great but the interior is too much C Class. I expected a totally new design concept and it looks just like my new C350 except mavbe for the instrument panel. Will take a closer look when it hits the showrooms here.
Well I'm going to go against the grain here and say that the interior looks great. I think it's a perfect mix of both C class and E, which are both outstanding interiors in my opinion. If Mercedes had priced this car well above the sedan I would understand why some would cry foul but because this is priced the same as the old car, can you really be that surprised??? This car is miles above the old CLK no matter how you look at it. That much style for the same price... Can't beat it.

these r probly the best shots of the new e-class coupe, its the first time i see a black one in pictures, looks very stunning, im loving the whole design, especialy the rear fender and sharp edges... the interior is beautifull impo fits the car very perfectly i love the seats and the dash style looks a lil small but still doesnt bother me atall, some of u may change your minds when u see the car in person, i cant wait!!! great job my favorite shot
I gave the car a second chance today. My opinion remain the same. It stood parked next to new the E-class and the Coupe version looks better but the design isnt flowing and its full of hard edges. Audi A5 still looks more sleek and elegant. When someone say E Coupe is worth the extra cash just for the design, I simply cant agree with it. I also want to say that C-class looks way better than both E-class and E-class Coupé.
Design is subjective so I don't expect everyone to like it. When I saw this car in real life I was blown away by it. In the press photos it looks very nice but in real life to appears very elegant, sleek and sporty. Of these traits, I always felt the C209 CLK was only elegant but significantly lacking in sporty and sleek design. Compared to the A5/S5, I feel that this coupe is just as beautiful and perhaps a little more daring than the "typical Audi design" as of late. :t-cheers:
I agree, the Audi A5 is very nice but somehow it looks dated to me from some angles and the front end is still not my favorite, the E Coupe is sexy in Wimmer's shots, especially the silver one. Lots of OOH moments as I watched. Have to see it in person to really decide, but the video and photos sure look promising. Thanks Christian!!
