*Sigh* Some of you need to settle it down. All of these threads are going to get locked if you guys don't stop the bantering. We need moderators to be active in telling people to shut up when need be. Where is Brian at to keep the sanity. Cars can't be everything to all people Deutchlander. You probably don't fit the average height of an MB driver. But that doesn't mean you have to go around saying that the space sucks rah rah rah. It's not sufficent for YOU. Not everyone is 6'6". You need to state that because it get's people frustrated with your posts.

This thread has just gone on and on - "off-topic" I might add (remember this Deutsch) Why was the "A blissful 80mph..." thread locked, (at Deutschlanders request) there was still interesting debate being discussed (unlike here) but you requested it be locked????? You shouldn't have a thread locked just because you personally don't like what people are saying. Unless the conversation has completely broken down to direct insults, then I can not see why a thread should ever be locked.. This thread has completely degenerated, but I defend your right to continue it - I just think it's very controlling and unnecessary to shut a thread down if people are wanting to say something - if you don't like it then don't read it - simple as that!
Well I found it slightly funny but I will support Deutsch because I understand precisely where he is coming from on this - I feel exactly the same as he about Mercedes lately. I too have battled with the Mercedes fans ever since I joined the old GCF forum - The Artist (particularly) and I, have had many arguments in the past. It's blaringly obvious that Mercedes no longer lives up to all the hype. All I can say is thank God HighestOfHigh is not here - I just don't think I could even be bothered with his "special brand" of obsessed "star worship"

Well thank you Artist. We didn't always get on so well though. But as time has gone on, I think we have gained respect for each other - I certainly have come to appreciate your input very much.

That's fine and everyone is entilted to their own opinions, but when they talk as if they are speaking for everyone is when it gets all jumbled up and people get all flustered. I don't want to read a bunch of garbage and bantering as much as the next guy. People need to realize that this place if filled with tons of people that aren't going to agree with anything and everything that one says. We just need to all hold hands and say to each his own, and just be ok with other people's opinions. I find the Mercedes Benz CLS drop dead gorgeous. There are other people on this board that think completely different from me but I'm not trying to prove to them that the CLS is the most beautiful car in the universe. So can we all just try and get along!
The car looks great! I hope it's a little smaller then CLS and has a cheaper price the the CLS and those two things will make me want to buy it so why wouldn't Mercedes make it?
This car would be utterly dreadful for most people - I'm 5ft 10in, so I'm not any where near as tall as some of the members here but I find the CLS a bit claustrophobic inside.
That has to more with the very shallow DLO rather than a lack of outright interior space; the CLS isn't badly sized up front (I'm "only" 6.1") but can be rather pokey in the rear head-room department.
On a moderator's note, I'm a little disturbed to see the uncivil behaviour being bandied about between certain members in this thread. It's an all too pervasive trend here on GCF - between just a few, regular offenders. No particular member can be singled out in this thread but there are certain consistent protagonists in this rather typical (of late) situation. Rest assured I will be consulting with the owners and moderators on this issue and will take action in accordance with their advice. I'm not here to win any popularity contests...
