They are going to put a strip of aluminuim/wood in the middle of the dash as was inicially planned, and as featured on the E Cuope. Also the AC controls will be different, the same ones as on the new E-Class.

Well, as noone is saying anything about this I would say that I don´t like it at all, and that is a bit strange.

    Its not a face lift,
And jscales what part of the interior you want to see changed..
The white wagon looks cool with the led.

A think it is the obvious changes. You will see, trust me.

I'd like to see a bit more wood, or maybe a bigger combination of aluminum and wood. The current model is a bit lacking...too much plastic.

It's just a rendering; we already know what the upcoming revisions will look like.

    Hi guys,
I'm sure they will bring the diesel engines to the U.S. I also hope the C300 will be up to 240hp, C350 will be 292hp.This is just my wishful thinking. However, please remember that the new 3er will be out in the 2011/2012 time frame, so Mecedes has to keep the C fresh and interesting. The main competition would be fuel efficiency.

    New engines:

C 63 AMG will get a new V8 BiTurbo - then it is named 55 AMG again.

    OM642 V6-CDI (E 350 CDI) with around 252 hp and 700 (!!) Nm

    and some new 4-cylinder engines.

Thanks ree for the info. Do you know what new engines will come to the U.S ? I think they will bring the C 250 CDI to the U.S , not the C 350 CDI. Other than that the C300 and C350 gas engines will be tuned to have a slight increase in horsepowers.

I translate the JESMB info posted by ree:

We will see, still in 2009, the new family of direct-injection 4 cylinder petrol engines: two 1.8l, as 250CGI 204hp and 200CGI, and one 1.6l, the 180CGI with 156hp.

The FL is coming at the beginning of 2011.

A C55 AMG (Bi-turbo V8 based on the new M278 V8) will replace the C63, with well ahead of 400hp. The OM642 350cdi will develop 252hp and 700Nm of torque.

The C-Class will get the new electronic gizmos, such as Attention Assyst, Distronic Plus, Blind-Spot Assyst.

    LED DRL, new bumpers.

The more important: the interior will be significantly upgraded, very similar to the E-Coupe. The GPS screen will be fixed, not retractable any more.

Very good news for the upgraded interior. It's the only weakpoint of that otherwise stunning car!

Wow that means it will be a 2012 model here in the U.S. Should have been 2011, making the 2010 model (on the lots now) the last one before the facelift.

Wow, I guess they will do that to compete with the new BMW 3er . that's really exciting.

This is what I thought. The exterior change will be minimal. The interior could be a fixed NAV display as some of you think it will be ( similar to the GLK ). The only interesting thing is the offering of new engines which includes the diesel ones. I don't think C350 will be tuned to more than 300hp ( it would be a pleasant surprise if it did ). Also more safety features will be offered which are wonderful. However, prices will be higher which is not good. Just look at the Euro/US dollars exchange. My question is are you ready to pay $3000.00 more for the diesel engine ? ( probably C250CDI )

Currency exchange rates have minimal effect on car manufacturers. They use currency swaps and currency hedging, which counter fluctuating exchange rates.
