That is the ugliest damn thing I've ever seen! It better not even remotely resemble that. Talk about making a mockery of the M-B Design language, lol.
2013 Mercedes-Benz GLC http://www.4x4carfans.com/blog/post/Mercedes-Benz-GLC-set-to-compete-against-new-BMW-X1.aspx :t-cheers:
Autozeitung published this one a while back. Doesn't look the same? Autozeitung © Hubert The GLC comes in 2014 with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive The compact-SUV: The GLC Baby-Benz off-roader starts in 2014 with the code X156, and is also based on the new front-wheel drive architecture. All-wheel drive is intended only for the strongest versions of the 4.40 meter long good climbers: GLC250 4Matic CGI (1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, 204 hp) and GLC220 CDI 4Matic (2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel, 170 PS). Translated from Autozeitung :t-cheers:
I cant even imagine an SUV smaller than a GLK, which is already the worst in its class in interior room. Makes no freakin sense at all.
It's a dumb gimmick indeed. Hopefully it'll be a failure, as I can't imagine it bringing pleasant eye candy to M-B showrooms, or showing off M-B's form/function capabilities (i.e, it'll be the opposite). The GLK is bad enough, one can only hope that there won't be a second generation of it.
BMW really isn't doing any better. X1,X2(Planned)X3,X4(Planned)X5,X6,X7(Planned) and an M variant of all of these as well.
I'd much rather prefer to have the GLK in Mercs line-up then the abomination that is the R Class. It is basically a Mercedes Benz Minivan. Couldn't Chrysler just leave the van stuff to the Town and Country?
If M-B releases a second-gen of the R-Class, you'll hear a face-palm slap to the face worldwide. :eusa_doh:
One rumored sleeker option, based on the W205 next C. http://www.designnation.de CLR --> C for C-Class, L for Longer Wheelbase, R for Roomier :t-cheers:
Now that would be HOT, just what Mercedes needs to capture the youth market. That if funky as hell and will people flocking to Mercedes showrooms. BUILD IT. M
