No, I think the same too (with the exception of SLS of course), but I also think some of it has to do with the full LED headlights, the few pics I have seen with out it, wasn't too flattering.
Oddly enough, I probably see the CLS in a lesser light than most Benz fans. I originally thought the first gen was awkward and hideous, but have grown to really like it when in the right element and with the right equipment (however, I could never love it enough to pull the trigger on buying one). The new CLS I do like a lot (even love) in many ways, but I just can't get past the sloppy lines and certain odd parts, so I'm not one of those who trip all over themselves due to it.

I coming around to the CLS (I was not impressed at all when it was released) but I do think it looks 'sloppy' and almost flabby compared to the last one. I saw an E63 the other day and thought it was amazing, it is just a very clean neat design and sits so well on the road. They almost seem to have reversed target demographics since the previous generations, on styling I think the E now appeals more to younger buyers than the CLS.
I saw my first CLS today a CLS 63 AMG....Oh my what a beast that car is just simpy awesome i say its one off the best looking cars on the market obviously its just my views the car is a beast i tell you and the interior is kust perfect i sat in it and said to myself i wamt one.The exterior is also great front is just super hot and let me tell you teh side profile looked great in real the lines suit it perfect especially in AMG form...What a car..I loved the previous CLS but this is a level ahead by far.
Holllly crap. 0-60 in 3.8 seconds in that Luxury beast? Hard to wrap my head around that, but it's incredible.
Thats a Car and Driver estimate though, we'll see what they can get when they actually test one. No doubt it will be somewhere around that number. M
