    Anyone else notice the guages?

A clock is now back in the instrument cluster with two small ones for temp and fuel... I like it.

The actual car also has a some chrome trim on the steering wheel that those press photos don't have and also the area around shifter is more standard on the show car than on the press photos which has the area that has "P R D" nicely integrated into the wood.

Sure, but we saw the gauge setup a long time ago in this E-Class interior prototype. ;)

Looks stunning! MB are really moving their design language forward. It's just not appreciated as much around here because there is no MB marketing going on and on about it.;)

    Interior desing is totally fresh!

That's the new design chief right?

It is a very good step forward. Having this concept in mind, I would like to see how does that E Class mules in grey and with the AMG kit look.

    Interior is lovely.

Andy that impression right there of the coupe ^^ is pure class (y)

The Merc interior will probably be miles ahead in term of quality but there's at least a strong & quite appealing visual theme in the Mazda.

Edmunds - 2008 Paris Auto Show: Mercedes ConceptFascination

According to Dieter Zetsche, Mercedes-Benz AG chairman of the board, the ConceptFascination strongly foreshadows the 2009 Mercedes-Benz design. Characteristics of this design will appear in next year's Mercedes-Benz models.

Translation: This is what the all-new 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will look like.

The work of Gorgen Wagener (that's him up on stage), the new global head of design at Benz and the former head of the company's Irvine, California, studio, the ConceptFascination does more than show the Mercedes' new look. It also hints at an all-new model, the E-Class coupe wagon.

Just as the company's CLS blurred the line between coupe and sedan, the Fascination blurs the line between coupe and wagon. "We want to reinvent the shooting brake (that's wagon in Eurospeak)," Wagener told me after the Benz press conference. "We see an opening for a new niche and we want to claim it as our own concept. We want to combine sportiness with functionality, like in the old days with the Volvo P1800 and others."

Then I asked him if such a vehicle would see production. He wouldn't answer, but his eyes gave it away. This thing is for real. -- Scott Oldham, Inside Line Editor in Chief

It looks ready for production ;)

Ready for production or not, i don't like this one bit. Dash looks ill proportioned, the colors are awful and the shape of the vents looks disaster. Also, too many buttons in center console... Not liking it definitely.

    :t-cheers:

The central air vents are just inverted versions of the new E-class (MB trying to save $$) and the center console is pretty much the same as the one on the C-class and the GLK, with the same amount of buttons.

The spy shots had reviewed much of the interior way before this concept is launched, so I guess I am used to it by now.

Yes, i know that Monster and i still think what i think.

Love these wheels, I hope they make it to production.

I quite like it, other than the red-ish leather. It's much better than the C class at least. That is one ugly looking interior.
