Mercedes/AMG is going all out. A coupe and a sedan, and hopefully they'll run more than just one model year this time. Coupe for me please. M
Going to be a sick (but expensive) car. I just hope they finally provide the handling required of such a body and label. M
Today I saw a SL AND CLK BS driving (separately). Pretty crazy as I'd never seen either on the road before.
Hey boys, I will be in the market for a new car sometime in the next 12 months.. Typically on average what is the price premium of a regular AMG car compared to it's Black Series? What is you're best estimate on what this thing is going to cost?
Ok so about 20 Euro over the regular AMG. I think here in Canada the Regular C63 is about 75K CDN, so I would be looking at over 100K + taxes etc.. It is a badass looking car however..
Yeah man. I hope the more they make, the less these will cost in the future. Then I might be able to afford one.
The regular C63 PP gets 480 so it will definitely be more. I say the full 525 like the E63 but if it carries forged internals maybe they will feel the need to give it just a bit more.
Wasn't the coupe given less hp than the sedan? 525 does sound very plausible, wonder why they neglected giving the E class coupe a more performance oriented version,I think the styling cues seen here would look better on the E.
I believe they are the same. Since they will not be making a Black Series of the E-coupe (the true successor of the CLK63 BS) this will be taking it's place. So I would expect no less than 525 hp. Merc1 we can already see that it's not going to use the M159 from Shining Star's post. It will be the M156 or a derivative of it.
Rumormill: Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe to get 507-hp 6.2-liter V8 by Aaron Richardson (RSS feed) on Apr 25th 2011 at 1:00PM 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe – Click above for high-res image gallery The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG debuted at last week's New York Auto Show sporting a 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 packing 451 snorting ponies. On the heels of that debut comes a report that AMG's upcoming C63 AMG Black Series will arrive packing just over 500 horsepower from a tweaked version of the same engine. With that much grunt on tap, the Black Series two-door should go from zero to sideways faster than you can say "new tires." When the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe debuts, expect it to differentiate itself from the rest of the C-Class world with a lower stance and significantly wider and more aggressive bodywork, and we wouldn't be surprised if it weighed less, too. The coupe should follow the debut of the C63 AMG Black Series Sedan. Like the four-door, the Black Series Coupe will almost certainly funnel grunt through Mercedes-Benz's AMG Speedshift seven-speed gearbox.
