SPIED! Mercedes-Benz 2014 W222 S-Class (Spy pics & info) - Part 3

Finally something I agree with you on. The Audi's interior is a tacky mess of 6 different materials/colors/combinations and just a hot mess all around. My absolute favorites in this segment are the W221 (Simple, elegant, classy, timeless Benz) and the 7-Series
( Supercomputer Techy look, business-man chic, reeks of Mensa levels of intelligence). Although the 7 and 5 interiors look like mere copies, I find absolutely nothing wrong with this, because they are both finished flawlessly, and keeps in line with BMW traditional interiors (F01 looks like a modern interpretation of the magnificent E38), Plus I am absolutely smitten with those huge nav screens. I have always ranked Benz and especially Bimmer interiors higher than Audi's. idk what the auto publications are drinking.

Both interiors, 5 and 7, look good, a sort of technic-coolness. But I do mind, if they look like copies. If I have to pay € 20k more (German prices) for a 7 series i'd like to see and feel the difference, knowing it was worth it.
By the way, I don't understand the hype about Audi interiors either.

I agree if I pay 20k more for a 7 series I want to feel the extra 20k swarming around me. That's why I always admire Mercedes because each of their models has their own unique interior with a few mino similarities

So ironic hat it's next to the w221 I wonder how that drIver of the w221 felt. Anyways the w222 looks more wider than the 221 blankly In the back but otherwise they about the same size

What I want to know is why is it being tested in Texas?

Its been 105 degrees here for the last week so maybe hot weather + city testing.

Actually, after 'closely examinating' this.
I found out that Mercedes isn't making a big mistake of some sort.
That big centre console in the 2 other cars and that one blown-up lunchbox are needed for the gear stick.
Since Mercedes is 'hiding' it behind the steering wheel a big centre console isn't really needed.
And the Audi begs the question; Do you really need all those buttons when you have a command/iDrive (or whatever the hell it is called) knob.
It seems a bit duplicated, that iDrive things seems unnecessary with all those buttons located just above it.
Nevertheless the Audi still has a beautiful interior.

So... If Mercedes will not show w222 in Paris than what are they planning to show there??

I hope it will be in Paris, but some guys here on forum say it will be at Geniva in March.

Most likely the CLA will debut at the Paris motOr show mainly bc it was unveiled in concept version similar to the what they did with the A class. The s class might be at the new York or chicago autoshow bc i believe someone said that it was confirmed that the E class will debut at the Detroit auto show and it was also conformed that the w222 will debut in 2013

What facelift?! It's a brand new car, none part from the 221, a brand new look exterior and interior.

Regarding the digital display again. Here's one from a CL. Horrible, and look at how it ages the car. The C/E/CLS/Etc. don't have this problem.
