SPIED! Mercedes-Benz 2014 W222 S-Class (Spy pics & info) - Part 3

I was the one who said car will be out before 5th July, I guess I've been absolutely wrong. Deep apologies, but believe me I was told by my regional Mercedes Director. My last message to him was in 4th Week of June, where again he was pretty sure of it, of course he was wrong and so was I. Once again deep apologies for mis leading.

Not that it matters but during the Euro he was talking about them launching after the Euro as it would take the lime light away and generate little hype. I assume if those things do matter they will need to launch it before the Olympics right? Assuming events like this matter then if we do not see it before the Olympics then I suppose only after the Olympics? (Do remember these are my assumptions)

I'm also told photoshoot etc. is all over, again something I can't verify as I've not exactly been correct before.

There is nothing wrong in being mistaken. Plans can change. Maybe they wantes to reveal the new S Class if Germany would win the Euro. I doubt they would reveal the S Class at the Olympics, as BMW has their fleet there. I'd say towards the end of the year.

I don't get why you guys care about when and where it will be debuted so much? It will when it will. What's the point in debating something so pointless?

In my case the reason is realy simple:
If the car will debut in March 2013 than i will probably must buy an used 2009 W221 (which i like a lot, exapt od the middle tunel console in the cockpit which is ugly as hell) for this half year - in the case that it will debut in 2012 september, i will wait till then and immediately buy the W222 and jump over the W221.

But as i said, the last AutoMotorUndSport, the last AutoBild and also the last MercedesPassion magazine had write down that it will be in 2013....so...damm!...

I agree, but calling it pointless is unfair too. Your essays about door handles and lines on the side are equally pointless then.

I think that your regional director is quite insane frankly Or too much of a die hard football fan or something.

Lines and door handles is me studying and dissecting the designs (critiquing). I get if someone is interested in the business aspect then the debuts are a big deal, but otherwise I personally just don't get it.

Its almost close but the grille is a little to wide for the headlights, and also the headlights are still missing the inward slope but otherwise it looks great

these renderings are close but just close to real. they still lack the real character.. its bits and pieces of cls bumper, new sl headlamps and i dono where the bonnet lines abruptly ends somewhere near the A pillar.. they r supposed to be clear lines that continue up on the A pillars.... this rendering looks good though...hmmm.. like HKS786 said, iv been refreshing the page for the past few months for new spy pics!!!

This chop is no close to the real one. The front lamps, the grille, the mirrors, the bumper are fake. I think that some parts (lights, bumper) will make in the same style like the new A class. Not one and the same way, but the style.

How about this horrible rendering of the S63 W222 looked liked they chopped this off the CLS

Wow, it looks bad on that render, specially the reversed shoulder line.

It wouldnt've been as bad if they didnt based it off the CLS, especially in the C pillar
