Pretty much. More like no more than 10 days left even. It could even be leaked before being officially shown, but then again I'm only basing that on the release of the W221 on June 13, 2005(via print) and June 20, 2005(via online press). Also, the Paris Auto Show isn't until late September, so maybe even later than that.

Awesome...I think. We just got another 2012 S550 for inventory fresh off the truck, the 2013 hasn't been released yet, and the 2014 is about to debut? I think MB may be a little out of touch

You're hilarious. Mercedes has been debuting cars in the same way for years and years. For one we don't for sure when the first pics will be shown, and the actual debut won't be until Sept at the Paris show. It will go on sale in Europe first (as always) a few months before the U.S. Europe this fall, U.S. next spring, been that way for hundreds of years. Seems you're out of touch Tennmb lol.

Yeah man, your post seem to be 90% of times about something that annoys you about MB. I´m sure working in a company´s dealer does not help, but c´mon.

Those are details for the U.S. market 2013 model, the last of the W221.

From what I remember, Mercedes-Benz doesn't always debut all of their models in such a pattern. I do agree with how you consider European sales to always be first, but not necessarily the "fall(Europe), spring(U.S.) pattern(if that's what you were saying). Unless you are referring to only the S-Class, it varies from time to time. Even so, the E.U.-spec W116(1972), W126(1980), and W140(1991) all went on sale within the same calendar year as U.S. models. The W220 and the W221 did follow the pattern you described, but the other ones have not always. The W163 M-Class went on-sale stateside in 1997, before Europe in 1998. The W210 in the autumn of 1995 went on sale at the same time in Europe and the US. I'd say only in the early to mid-'90s did they simultaneously start sales universally, and then reverted back to tradition with the R170 SLK.

Umm.. Isn't this how it works with ALL cars? Production runs to till a certain date.. then the next month.. the next MY comes. M-B is no different than anyone else here. Porsche even sells brand new 2012 997 and 991's alongside each other!

Yeah, I guess TN-MB tends to forget things sometimes, even when he's a salesman at MB :) .
Don't you remember the short '06 model year where a W220 S350 was introduced to the US market for that period? The W221 was already out in Europe as an '06 MY.

I wish MBUSA brought us an S350 gasoline for the '13 MY.

I believe it is S600. I can see double exhaust in both tail pipes.

I've been a part of a multitude of product launches. We still have 2012 S-class being dropped. (Just had one hit the ground this week.) 2013 models will hit showrooms in August. I said, if they were officially announcing it this month or next. In other words if they are officially announcing the new 2014 S as the 2013 is just coming out or even before, then sorry, but that is not the way things go. If the new S goes on sale this fall in Europe, and the US is just releasing 2013 in the old body style then this is not the way MB has done things. The last two S-classes were about 3 months seperation from Euro to US release.
For example, we just had the new SL released and this wasn't an issue. Now, the dates could be wrong. But if they are right, then yes, I have a negative opinion on that. But it is so good to know we have the thought police on duty here to launch ad-hominem attacks. I'll try to make it a point not to comment personally on other posters. Last I checked there are no board rules on voicing a negative opinion. So, please don't comment on me personally, and I'll do the same.

Yaz, the S350s were only released in very low number as a stop gap at the end of the 06 cycle. It wasn't as if they were just releasing the 06.

Based on last year. the 2013MY W221 should come out next month in July along with the other models for the 2013 MY, asd for the W222 it should be here physically in the US by next year after its "rumored" Paris debut

Hey mate, just want to ask how did MB arranged the timing between dropping off the final batch of W220 and the introduction of the then new W221?
