    Mercedes-Benz 2013 W222 S-Class (Spy pics & info)

I do have to honour to start this thread, sadly, only for posting the very first CGI about the new S-Class, featuring organic shapes again.

I post on the car forum carspyshots.com and there is a supercars insider that has a few clues about the upcomming MB design. Stating with the new CLS, the design won´t be s hard and squared as on the new E-Class, but softer, with new shoulder lines and with agressive front ends. Acording to this insider info, the new S-Class will feature a similar face to the next CLS, with the headlights remaining the shape they´ve been featuring along all the S-Class generations, but this time being smaller and slimmer, entirirely LED, perhaps.

Anyway, I´m expecting to see Huck´s CGI about this new S-Class.

This is a continuation thread, the old thread is http://www.germancarforum.com/community/threads/mercedes-benz-2013-w222-s-class-spy-pics-info.30017/ by SKYSONY Titled Mercedes-Benz 2013 W222 S-Class (Spy pics & info)

Ocean Drive COncept is so beautiful, just so S-Calss. They should have left it as it is and made it an S Class. Who would need a RR or Bentley?

When the S will be revealed and discussed I am sure there'll be part 4. The S Class is such and important car, of the same importance as a 911 and a Golf.

I am very eager for this car to finally hit.

It's going to blow off its competition...

That's what the S class usually does. It's no wonder it is THE car of choice when you want to be driven around.

Absolutely... If you think Mercedes shocked some manufacturers in the industry with the new A class; wait for what's going to happen when Daimler releases the new S class and its WHOLE LINEUP. The whole industry is going to shake dramatically. Daimler is coming up really strong, from the compact segment with its derivatives till they reach the ultra-luxurious segment of the Maybach, but this time with the new S class Pullman. And already they are rooted in the super sportscar segment with some legendary names like the CLK-GTR and SLR 722.

They can go Anywhere... Anytime they want. That's how strong and powerful that STAR Emblem really is.

Thank you! Not feeling the lines at all. Is this a picture of the real car? Grill looks small/weird in that photo.

IMO as with the E-class I don't think we should expect any way near something of a revolutionary design, whilst the tech will blow us away as that is the S-class's domain;)

It will have resent styling cues, think CLS and SL. Also it will have presence, lots if it.

It is a very bad scan of a very bad photoshop image. The grill, the headlights and the curvature of the front bumper are all wrong.

the same picture, but extended for correct proportions:

The grill looks too narrow compared to the prototypes in the spy pics. If that's the real deal then I'm some what disappointed.
  17. Ollemars Member

agree, grill was much higher on the latest spyshots... but the sloping line and the side profile are very close...

    Thats def not real deal.

Hmm. Could be it. I sure hope not though

Guys, relax it's not the real deal. 1.jpg 2.jpg

    1. The side mirrors are different.
    2. There is a line connecting the headlights with the grill on the camouflage car. The car from the scan photo doesn't have such line.
    3. On the scan image (where the Mercedes emblem is) there is a line which separates the hood from the front bumper. On the actual test vehicle such line is missing.
