Well I doubt if it will get the full 510hp in the next generation car but as a farewell to the current C they just might do it. I can see it is a limited production car like the CLK DTM AMG. M
A 6.3 lt engine will never work in a small car like the C class. C55 already has many problems due to excessive weight in the front part of the car.
The C55 (Nurburgring package) has nearly 50/50 weight distribution. The new V8 weighs 6 kilos less than the outgoing 55 engine, not to mention it is more compact... :icon_roll
You'll have to forgive Yannis, he thinks that a Mercedes are like Audis which have "many problems" with weight distribution and the far foward placement of their engines. Yannis you really need to give up this silly notion about Mercedes and their weight and where it is placed because there are no facts to support this most bogus of claims. Mercedes having "many problems" because of "excessive weight" in the front of their cars is plain bullstuff. M
This is :icon_bs: I`ve never herd of the C55 having many problems due to it`s larger V8. Fact is Car&Driver said the C55 has better straight line stability than the Audi RS4 or BMW M3 at speeds beyond 200km/h!
I don`t think so Notic, unless your talking about the currant SL55 AMG Thay say it will get a 517hp power boost. The SL63 is supposed to get the Bi-Turbo version good for 571+hp!
Quoted from C&D comparo where S4 won over C55 and CTS-V: http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=15&article_id=8682&page_number=4
Yeah, I know. I read this article bofore. You failed to post the RS4 stability at 200km/h compared to the C55 though. That was my point. It was you who pointed out "problems with a larger engine" Besides, I never make an overall evolution based on one magazine article. This C63 might be an improved piece of engineering compared to it`s brother the C55. You never know.
I 'm sure that next generation C class will be much improved therefore we might see a much better new C55 AMG.
LOL man you making fun of my thread name.. nothing wrong with it.. it will be a killa if it comes out the way the way the article says
