I just surfed through the world wide web and found this possibility to compare vehicles on the lincoln.com website! Comparision: Lincoln TownCar vs. Mercedes E 350 :t-rot: Lincoln.com - Compare Vehicles - Step 3 Lincoln.com - Compare Vehicles - Step 2 - Select the car, you want to compare the TownCar with... When you see the pictures, would you buy a Lincoln? I think, this is the worst thing, I've ever seen... :t-crazy2:
Only if I had a gun pointed at my genitals. Agreed. But it doesn't come as a surprise, hence the Town Car is designed with geriatric buyers in mind.
In my opinion it's a great idea, that buyers can compare their "dream vehicle" with the cars of other brands (and you can compare to nearly every car you want)...but it's a Lincoln...and the interior consists of plastic and synthetic leather and isn't really comparable to a german luxury brand. :t-hands:
Pictures are one thing, but if any you have ever riden in a Lincoln, it really is quite some car. It's stable, powerful, extremely quiet and the interior's pretty good, even if it does look a little old. It's an overall safe buy which I guess makes it so appealing. There's little complication in a Lincoln, a car that you would keep for many years.
New Lincolns are quite nice actually, very comfortable and styleish IMO. Of course not on the German level, but there also not supposed to be, hence why they are cheaper
lol funny comparision, i hate the lincoln towncar i allmost see this car everywhere here , oh + the cop cars jesus!!!
I would definitely have to go with the Lincoln. The Lincoln is faster, better handling, classier and just plain better looking than the E-Class. The E-Class is also very unsafe compared to the Lincoln. The Lincoln is built from good ole quality American steel which won't bend even if the car is hit by a Airbus A380, while the Mercedes will show signs of wear in as little as 6 weeks. The Lincoln also has more durable paint and better leather combined with a superior body construction technique, the body on frame method which the way "it should be". Also, I forgot to mention that the Lincoln has the superior rear-suspension setup, a live axle compared to that flimsy 5-link design on the Benz. The Lincoln will easily ride and handle better. M
The Lincoln's interior isn't any worse than the E class in my opinion -- both are styled to appeal to the same kind of bland taste.
