Re: Important appeal to all Aussie members! Ahmm! I think I should warn you Helmut is here with us , And I will definetely throw things... Just to make that clear for you..
Re: Important appeal to all Aussie members! Dear Aussie members, use big powerful lenses, and take pics from the distance ... so being out of range of Helmut's fists, and Scott's bottles. Scottie, like usually, just pretend seeing nothing, and let people take some pics. **** Another request aimed at spies-wannebees: focus on headlights & grille, and the rear incl rearlights & boot lid.
Re: Important appeal to all Aussie members! I have a question: What can the real helmut do to photographers if BMW really doesn't want peoples to take photos of their car ?
Re: Important appeal to all Aussie members! Something similar what happened in SAR few years ago when an intruders was busted while taking pics of E61 5er pics at the filming scene. "Big Helmut" (a nickname for bMW security team ) chased down the photographer giving him few kick in the ass, and demolished his camera & memory cards. But in such case you can press charges anytime ... But so can BMW ... accusing you of industrial espionage. Yet ... Nowadays CreativeMarketing department encourages regular people to take pics of exposed upcoming BMW models. Just eg. Scottie gave us the hint they would be filming in Australiy / Sydney, and just like filming crew disclosed further shooting positions to CarPoint journalist / photographer. :t-cheers:
Re: Important appeal to all Aussie members! Yes but do not get in the way or piss us off , Then we react I should warn you my boss does not tolerate failure.... His response after the 1er Coupe expose...
Re: Important appeal to all Aussie members! One word: Crowbar Carry one those with you when doing the shooting and if the BMW's unit of gorillas tries to touch you then give them a taste of the metal. Or for the less violent ones, carry one of these in the pocket of your jacket.
Re: Important appeal to all Aussie members! Of course. Therefore all interested parties are kindly asked to hide in the bushes, or behind the garbage bins ... and take the pics as discretely as possible. That's why such photographers are named SPY photographers. Not being classic paparazzi taking pics from a distance of one mere inch.
Re: Important appeal to all Aussie members! It's like snapping pictures of birds, the minute you get too close, they pack up and fly away.
Btw ... not kidding ... once (when shooting E90 3er in Spain) the "Helmut" were even equipped with stun guns. :t-crazy2: Yeah, but these birds before they do (flay away) they attack you ... like the birds from Hitchcock's movie.
You must be really proud of working for a company which lead people on to later beat them up and destory their camera equipment. Aussies, it's time to wake up, mobilize and go to war. You are the chosen ones. Get them hardcore rugby playing aborigines strapped up with spears and poisons frogs.
wow, I am on it !! Do you know which part of Sydney EnI? The car was spotted in Melbourne not that long ago, I wonder if it is making its way to Syd
I would gladly offer up the doctors' carpark at the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane for shooting purpose. Could help appeal to the cosmetic surgeons in America who will buy this car by the truckloads Or I guess I could find a use for the interns and have them (camera's in hand) stalk the city looking for the 'shark'!!! I would think the Sydney harbour Bridge would make for a nice shot of the car for press release. Certainly something powerful in the background to match the physical power of the cars design that we have been hearing about and now seeing with the latest spyshots...
Don't think it's possible to shoot the bolte bridge unless you're on a helicopter or have a lens the size of a room shooting from a building a couple km's away...
The trains can still go pass the bridge right, or will they block that as well. I travelled across the bridge today on the train, we get a decent view, but the images are slightly distorted by the train windows.
Good to see that BMW has acknowledge Australia as a loyal and growing market and as such has decided to encorporate the country into it's global media empire. It is a quite, behind the door acknowledgement that Australia is regarded as a good market for BMW vehicles. Should be very benefitial in increasing the image of the vehicles in the Australian public if they see images of the vehicles with Australian backdrops etc... EDIT- 1,000 posts already I must be a fanatic
Congrats mate :t-cheers: I don't know if there is an "addict" rating in the forum, maybe they should.
