Alaska Trip-Boat Ride-Seals Another pic from Alaska. The colors worked out well on this shot...ocean, sky, island, etc. Thanks. PalBay
Wow, nice shots you two! Mike do you stumble across all the tigers and lions in Oulu? I'll remember to take my moose rifle next time I'm nearby, just in case I'll be attending this week, been busy with school and changing computers, hopefully have time this week.
Hahaha.. comment on the day Padi! Maybe MikeJ has an exotic animals zoo in his backyard... who knows really.... Also, Padi we'd love to see an entry from you.
Well you will The Harbor Took it with my Nokia E7, it's got a fantastic 8 mp camera that takes so clear photo's even in motion that I get surprised every single time. Photo's from a short distance are disappointingly bad though. //Oh, now that I've got a MacBook Pro with a quite good image editor (for me anyway) I took the freedom to highlight the colors a bit.. //Damn, it shows me it is 1024x768 until I download it here, don't know where this small picture came from but it'll have to do.
Wow... that is some pretty impressive quality from a cell phone camera! Easily matches many point and shoot cameras! Hey Padi, you should try and see how that photo would look if it were in Black & White. I bet that sky would look great, and the old sign would give the impression of a forgotten place. Also, one quick favour buddy. Would you be able to re-size the photo down to the limit of 1024x768 resolution? Thank you for the entry! With shots like that I definitely encourage you to enter these competitions more often.
Thanks for the compliments, yeah I always have a hard time choosing between all those sepias, BnW:s etc, I liked the BnW but I reckoned the picture got more boring when it lost the bright, yellow sign. The size thing is strange, I did change it, must have forgotten to save it then.. I'm on it...
Photographers: No one's more dedicated! >> Just a reminder to get your photos in for this round of competition.
Hahaha!! I imagine you have one of those signs somewhere on your property that states "Beware: Dog May Bite" ....except the second part is crossed-out and in thick black marker you've handwritten "Tiger WILL Eat".
Actually, I understand where you're coming from with regards to the monotone look maybe becoming uninteresting after a while. Regardless, the photos great! As for the resizing issues, if it keeps giving you problems, then don't worry about it for now buddy.
Here's mine for the week. He's a distant cousin of MikeJ's pet tiger Fluffy....and his name is Fatty. If you think MikeJ does close-ups good, then you ain't seen nothing! Eye of the Cat :t-cheers:
In these pics Fatty looks more like a killer than Fluffy Fantastic shot, love how the eyes stand out, looks like a eagle ready to grab in its pray. How do you all find such fantastic shots for every competition?
Just a reminder. This round of competition will close in a couple of days, so make sure you get your photo entered quick! :t-cheers:
