Just_me, nice to here from you.. it`s been a while.
I agree. I don`t like the headlights either but I do like the rear better. I thinks it`s an improvement.

BMW may offer two versions of the next 6-series

For a car maker that prides itself on being the ‘Ultimate Driving Machine’ BMW spends quite a lot of time making sure passengers also have an excellent experience. Some of BMW’s customers think they’ve gone too far, complaining that even the sport-package equipped version of the current 6-series just isn’t sporty enough. But others think the 6 is just perfectly luxurious. So BMW has decided to take the middle route and appease both camps - the next 6-series, due out in 2010 or 2011, will come in two versions: sport and luxury.

What exactly the difference will be has yet to be revealed, but it will reportedly be a ‘marked’ difference, unlike the current line-up. Whatever BMW ends up doing to make the 6-series home to a truly sporty grand tourer, there’s a good chance the idea could spread throughout the luxury world. Makers like Mercedes and Lexus face similar dilemmas with their line-up and a similar solution would make sense. Audi has already adopted and incorporated this method of design throughout its line, offering its standard A Series, the improved S Series and the totally insane RS Series, all of which are variants of one core line-up.
More details on the new 6-series itself are lacking, but the word on the street is that the new car will be a two-door version of the CS concept shown in Shanghai. The uber-sexy flagship concept speaks volumes about BMW’s future design direction, and even if the CS itself never makes it to production, it’s sure to inspire elements of BMW’s future line-up.

Isn't the Sport model just covered in 'M' badges and carbon fibre trim?
There's so many badges, you NEED the carbon fibre trim to offset the weight gain :eusa_danc

What kind of authority do these people claim to be when everyone knows now, from BMW's own claims, that the CS will indeed make it into production. Automotive journalists that simply do not take the time to ensure the accuracy of their reporting irk me.

Preview: 2011 BMW 6-series coupe and cabrio
    [IMG]

BMW’s next-generation 6-series coupe and its cabrio variant aren’t due to arrive until late 2010 at the earliest as the current model was only given its mid-cycle facelift a little over a year ago. However, we can get a taste as to what to expect for the new GT thanks to these new renderings, which show the car will be heavily influenced by last year’s CS Concept.

The current model has proven to be a sales success for BMW, with numbers averaging just on 20,000 units per year. BMW doesn’t want to risk hurting sales of the next model so for the new car designers will be dialing down the controversial styling. The new car is also expected to grow in size and feature a sportier design. The wheelbase will be slightly longer than the current car, but overhangs, both front and back, will be shorter. The new 6-series will also sit much lower than the current model, with a sleeker roofline adding to the sportier look.
There are rumors the car will be offered with two different versions, a more luxurious GT and an aggressive sports model. Inside, the cars will still feature plenty of luxury appointments as well as a new eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle-shifters. The cabrio is also tipped to receive a new folding hard top instead of the current canvas roof.
The current engine lineup is expected to carry over relatively unchanged, however the range topping M6 could get a new twin-turbo V10 engine and dual-clutch transmission.

When is the new F13 expected to debute as early prototypes?. I really hope that with the first spy pics we will be able to see heavy CS design cues on it.
