    Heavens... what a shot:

    It needed to be repeated.

Imagine someone rocks up in your driveway and says "you've got 10 seconds to pick one". What to do?!? What to do...?

Because it's more expensive and the GT3 MkII is newer.:)

    GT3!!! gimme gimme gimme!!!
That shot is to die for indeed :D The resolution sucks for a wallpaper though :(

Because it's close to twice as expensive as the GTR?

I'd have to agree with you on that choice. But still, in the heat of the moment I'd have that niggling doubt that I'd be missing out given the GT-R's heaped praise.

Yeh, interesting choice by Car. :eusa_thin I think Nissan wanted to target the 997 Turbo with the GT-R, and the GT2 with the SpecV. (y)

...and I would never take the GT2 over the GT3 :D

In the latest issue of Swedish AMS, there is an article about the new GT3 and Walter Röhrl is supposed to have made the ring in 7:40 in the FL GT3 (five seconds faster than in the 2006 car).

These are of course times set by Porsche so they do not count for comparison but it will be very interesting to see what SA can manage.

Neither would I. When it comes to balance, it doesn't get more perfect than the GT3. The car has no flaws.

Calling these machines vehicles is an understatement, more like automotive perfection.

    A GT3, silent and sneaky? I think not. :D

    :D

How 'bout the GT3 - the supreme athlete, born with natural agility and honed to perfection. ? :)

Wow, not bad! You should be a car journalist and work for Drivers Republic at that.

    Those are some nice shots.

I'll tell you one thing. It's GREAT how everyone is trying their best to discredit the GT-R but they always do it by comparing it to a car it was not meant to go against...LOL. Nissan designed this car with Turbo in mind yet EVERYONE has been comparing it to GT2 or GT3. LOL....I think they are accidentally giving credit to the GT-R by comparing it to something it wasn't designed to go up against.

It is compared to those cars because it is closer to them in terms of performance.

Well Nissan has proved itself very versatile at that. I mean it can take any car from the Porsche lineup and not be afraid to dance with it and keep it's modest composure. We've seen it put against the Carrera, Carrera S, GT3 Mk1, GT3 Mk2, Turbo and GT2. Even against the GT2 the Nurburgring lap difference was around 7 seconds and in many corners the GT-R carried more speed than the widowmaker monster. It's been compared to the F430 & F430S, LP560, Superleggera & Regular, Viper Regular & ACR, Lotus Elise, Audi R8, Corvtte ZO6 & ZR-1, BMW M3. Overall the GT-R is quite an amazing and versatile vehicle and it can endure a lot, as long as you do not engage the transmission sport button, which voids the warranty. :D

Yeah, I know that. That's why I'm saying it's funny. First people wanted to discredit saying it can never match the Turbo, but now no one even compares it to the Turbo, they go straight to Porsche's track monsters. LOL
