I agree on his conclusion..I would take the white car home of these three also :).

Absolutely GT3 RS, but I have to say the Black Series is the devil on wheels...

I see Chris Harris referring to the AMG's transmission as M-DCT, but in reality the M3's transmission is called M-DCT.

    Good review nonetheless.

I can't find where he refers to the AMG's transmission as M-DCT. He correctly compares the BMW's dual clutch gearbox to the wet start up clutch 7 speed unit in the C63.

Here it is. Unless the text was put there by GCF:

... And where does that quote come from and who wrote it? :)

Another fantastic review by Chris, and I totally agree, the C63 BS feels more special than the M3 GTS.

If it was not Chris Harris then it must be coming from GCF. I am at my office so I just skimmed through everything. I will check everything out tonight. :D

This should be in Internal Combustion.

And give me the 4.0 please :)

The GT3 with 435hp would be enough. So much lighter.

Now I envy him... I still haven't driven any of these.
The perfect car for me is the M3 GTS but it's not what it should've been... not what the CSL was...
Limited numbers and too expensive yet it is the best thing BMW have ever made.
The C63 BS is something I'll never consider as the CLK63 BS is a better track car and has way better looks.
The GT3 RS 4.0 is perfection... but I really don't need to engage myself professionally on the road too... it's almost a true race car :)

The weight difference between the GT3 RS and GT3 RS 4.0 is negligible. BTW, the GT3 RS puts out 444 HP. The standard GT3 makes 435 HP as you say, but it is substantially heavier than both the GT3 RS and GT3 4.0. All three cars wear cup slick tires.

No, not really. The diff in unladen weight between GT3 and GT3RS is only 25kg (1395kg vs 1370kg). Of which 14kg is bucket seats that are standard on RS and optional on GT3.

    You said it all!!!!

The Porsche does it for me, second place would be the Bimmer.

I merged both threads (Soup's & Giannis') into one.

Btw. here are the weight-figures measured by Sport Auto (with full tank of fuel):
    1388 kg - GT3 RS 4.0
    1417 kg - GT3 RS 3.8
    1426 kg - GT3
    :)

Thanks! What does Sport Auto say about the weight of the GTS and C63?

And, not that it matters much, but I'd like to know the price for all three too. GTS cheapest, 4.0 most expensive and BS somewhere in the middle is my guess....

    1546 kg - BMW M3 GTS
    1748 kg - Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series with Track- and Aero-package

Wow, the M3 is 158 kg heavier than the 4.0!!!!

The diet of the F80 M3 can't come soon enough :D
The new standard M3 will weigh around what the GTS weighs now. Good news.

As for the C63....my God, what a fat pig!
