Carlos Pardos fatal accident NASCAR Mexico

    That was bad timing. R.I.P.

    One thing that cough my attention though is these cars are not that safe... considering we've all seen F1 cars crash at greater speeds (most recently think Kubica @ Montreal GP 2008)

    Crash any car into a concrete wall at that speed and no one will survive...
    Kubica was lucky not to hit anything directly, if he would have hit the wall the same way this unlucky Pardos did we would also have lost Kubica. Thank god that's not the case.
    It's more the track that's not safe, there is no run out zone like on european tracks. Very sad though, RIP Carlos Pardos.

    Indeed a bad hit! That is one of the reasons, why I don't like nascar... too much power & no such control! :eusa_doh:

    I agree I don't think it mattered what car it was, hitting at that angle and speed would have killed anyone.

    Great place for a wall. Atleast there was a water container to slow the cars down before hittting the wall. :eusa_doh:

    NASCAR Mexico, same crappy sport, with even crappier cars and safety.
