    Cool! X1, X3, X4, X5, X6. What a line-up of X models!!

Eni, I guess this is wrong?:

So considering the official name being F26, it's safe to say the X4 is based on the F25 X3 like originally planned...?

All thats missing is the X7.

Yes I forgot the matrix under the X3 is modular and can be added to.

Nope. They are using the X5 as the ceiling. Next X5 is more sportier and luxurious and does not really determine the need for an X7.
There will be no Rolls-Royce SUV either , Both Norbert Reithofer and Torsten Müller-Ötvös (RR CEO) are dead against it because it is not suitable for the brand.
An elegant RR Roadster and a larger 5dr Coupe , Ghost Coupe and Drophead (which will be shown at Geneva) and the next Phantom are more priority ideas.

At least the english footballers will have something to give their wives to make them stay after there countless affairs and infidelity (because they need the money and title) with a new Bentley SUV.

Z4 is not sporty enough hence no M version while the SUV are sporty enough to have an M badge.

    BMW X4 confirmed for production

    The crossover craze continues 2011-09-20

In an interview with Auto Motor und Sport, BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer confirmed plans to build an X4 crossover.

The executive declined to give additional information, but the magazine says the model will measure approximately 4.65 meters (15.25 feet) long and share engines with the X3.

There's no word on when the vehicle will be launched, but previous reports have indicated it could hit the market in 2014.

I don't see the point in vehicles this large having such disproportionate boots, an SUV should be practical.

It is because these days almost everyone put style over substance, everyone wants to make a statement with their choice of vehicles as a result the market is full of cars that doesn't make any practical sense.
