Understood, that's why I said that I'll take any 2-Door as being a "Coupe", however in its purest form, a Coupe would be a ground-up developed 2-Door.
And what if they took a coupé that was built from ground up, Aston Martin Virage, extended it and added two doors, Aston Martin Rapide, is that a 4 door coupé?
I'd call it a "Sedan version". However, with a truer Coupe bloodline than a CLS or 6 GC which have Sedan bloodlines.
LOL. We are talking about the same subject on two different threads. I guess we'll never agree with one another, and we could discuss this till the end of the world. Well, but now I have to go to sleep. :t-cheers:
Oh, I dunno... I would like to think that the 6 series/M6 Gran Coupe is a suitable alternative for buyers who would be in the market for a Maserati Quattroporte ,Porsche Panamera or perhaps even an Aston Martin Rapide. But whatever-the recent photographs of that Alpine White 6 GC at this years Geneva Auto Salon have me sold. It is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to see it in the metal.
In the metal it looks 10 times better. I the rear doors had no handles you would think it is a real coupé.
BMW M6 GranCoupé Shooting ? With the coming of the CLS Shooting Brake, BMW will surely come up with their own model. But unlike the E 63 AMG T Model, BMW has no M5 Touring. Will BMW rival the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake then? I really don't know, because that car would have such high price. Here a look: 550i F10: 71.000 € 550i F11: 73.650 € 550i F07: 76.500 € 650i F13: 85.700 € 650i F12: 94.300 € 650i F08: 92.600 € 750i F01: 93.000 € 750i F02: 97.000 € M6 F13: 123.600 € M6 F12: 131.000 € M6 F08: 129.000 € (gest.) M6 F09: 134.000 € (gest.) 760i F01: 137.300 € Would many buy that ? Very few ? I thought BMW was about sales volume ?
No way it will cost that much in the U.S., it won't even be close to that. A Panamera Turbo S cost 173K in the U.S. BMW wouldn't sell any at that price. M
Maybe Turbo then...just guessing. With their new product pricing and positioning nothing make sense anymore... I was looking forward to the GC but I don't think I can afford it.
In the US 640i coupe costs $73600. 640i GC costs $76000 and 640i convertible $81000. M6 coupe - $107k, M6 convertible 114k. So I don't know how the heck M6 GC will end up costing Panny turbo money, let alone Turbo S. It will probably be more like 110-112k.
M6 Coupe price starts @ $107k, and the price for M6 Cabrio @ $114k. So just like the regular 6er GC, the M6 GC will also be positioned between Coupe and Cabrio. So, expect the starting price for M6 GC somewhere very near $110k. So, in the same price bracket as Panamera GTS.
(M)6 GC price will fall neatly in between the most expensive version of the 6er (the cabriolet) and the cheapest version of the 6er (the coupe). This applies to all engines, diesel or gasoline, M or no M. Come on, it's not that hard. Holy crap, talk about being way overpriced....... IMO, the people who buy this over an M5 or E63 or not really, uhm, thinking straight. But then again, we know everything about badge whores by now.....
