Death valley - one of the hottest, driest places in the western hemisphere.

Does it not get awfully cold there at night too, something about having the greatest variation in temperature anywhere in the world.

Don't buy it, they have told us lots already about the M5 so why keep this a secret unless it ain't decided as yet? :t-hands:

^^ for the buzz. Debate is maximum publicity.

And Death Valley is really amazing, I once drove trough it, and slept in a hotel in the middle. Incredible scenery there, damn

Yep, BMW tests all their cars there.
  5. I don’t know why some people became so offensive to Scott. I’m not his lawyer but he or it(don’t know if he is just a nice guy or a project) is the thing that makes this forum different and interesting (alongside with EnI, Horatiu sorry if I miss somebody). Maybe it’s BMW’s way to form discussions and to evaluate the reactions of BMW enthusiasts but is curious to see the different receipts which are mixed in the kitchen of BMW. I’m glad to participate in this and to know that somebody in BMW is reading our opinions.

I drive a Chevy truck and I am also a fan of the M5- I guess that makes it interesting for me.

No I am not offensive to SCOTT. I mean why should he always say us everything, end at the end when something is not as he told we blame him?

    Still only 7000 rpm redline....
  13. south Well-Known Member

Not to be nitpicky, but it's 7,100 rpm. ;)

Love the engine choice, love the output figures and love what I am seeing of the bodywork, but why oh why is there no real noticeable changes to the interior shouting out that you are driving an M car. :t-hands:

Apart from that it will be a real beast. (y)

The M5 F10 is the first M car to have its own internal code - F10M.
  16. south Well-Known Member

I'm not sure if that's true as the current M3 is internally referred to as E90M and the 1M as E82M.

    Best regards,

    I stand corrected.

    Don't you guys think it's a little late for hot-weather testing ?

I think that just about wraps this one up boys! Time for the crap-talk to end me thinks. :)

Thank god they got rid of the crazy 5,6 modes - that was just overkill.
