The BMW 3-series has been voted 2005 Scottish Car of the Year by members of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers. The compact executive saloon has also been shortlisted for the 2005 European Car of the Year award, which will be announced at the Autocar Awards on November 14 and for which our own Steve Cropley is one of the judges. In addition to overall honours, the 3-series also triumphed in the in the Executive/Luxury section, with the Renault Modus voted best small car, the Ford Focus taking top family car and the Range Rover Sport top sports-utility vehicle.
