    Both are great cars. I am split 50/50. The 190E looks timeless while the M3 seems to have the better engine.

    Don't be rediculous. Both are great cars, but the 190 is not he originator that spawned the M3.

    According to that video the 190E 2.3 16 being homologated for circuit racing was the reason for BMW following suit with the E30 M3.

    M3 for me now. Back in the day I was in love with the "190E Batmobile" saw it in SA's Car Mag I got a subscription to the latter magazine for my b-day every year as a child.:)

    Well yes. There was the M3 for DTM and Rally. But in any case there would be an M3, because the M3 E30 is not the first M car.

    Isn't that what this very video points out?

    I like that M3, and think it's also timeless. I just think the M-B is untouchable in so many ways as the good/timeless M-B Sedans in my views generally are.

    Yes. Looked the vid. This 190 is porbably the best what "AMG" had, but now AMG is back up next to BMW M if not better in some ways.
