I dont like them beacuse they are ruining theyr whole line up.. 1. 456 was hot the 612 is so ugly it hurts 2. 360 modena HOT 430 cross eyed 3. Enzo and MC 12 are the most ugly supercars ............. And to be honest and serious.. this is just BS.. cause they dont need no ordinary guy to develop a new car.. they will listen to the engineers and not some rich dude.. so this is a gimmick .. they want a fool to pay top dollar.. drive the car at fiorano leave it in the Ferrari garage.. and then come back and drive it occasionaly..
In truth Rob I think it's more about data collection than getting middle-aged, rotund-bellied racer wannabes to convey their every whim regarding design... The FXX program, in my mind, is a way of killing a couple of birds with one stone: a. The ultra-dedicated Ferrari customers are placated with prospect of owning something so super exclusive b. Providing a pinnacle track tool to seriously wealthy driving enthusiasts c. Capturing engine telemmetry across a broad spectrum of geographic and environmental conditions without having to embark on an unnecessarily expensive development program. d. Allowing true enthusiasts the opportunity to feel part of the Ferrari family (in this market segment a very important strategy)
I don't think they're doing this to actually get ideas from FXX owners, but to see how such a car does in the hands of non-Ferrari test drivers and just to give some very rich folks a chance to "play" with the most extreme Ferrari this side of a F1 car. I don't like the 612 Scagletti myself, the proportions are simply wrong. The F430 I do like, as I did the 360, but to me the F355, especially the F355 Spider looked better than either the 360 or 430. We all know that Ferrari doesn't "need" regular joes to tell them how to build a supercar so it is more or less a very expensive marketing exercise, but a fun one too for those with the $$$$$. No other car company that I know of offers anything remotely similar to this experience Ferrari is offering. M
That car is absolute PIMPNESS at its finest. Sheez I'd love to take this thing and drive really really piss-as*inyingly slow down rodeo drive w/ the gull wing doors open winking at every hott chick walking to prada this and gucci that... haha, so superfical.. but hey.. gotta love the ladies!!!! :eusa_danc
