As far I can see,and understand,it is useless to push HP to sky-high limits..Just see what happens to SL Brabus in one of Top Gear episodes..SL 55 AMG with ~250 HP less is on same lap time as overpowered Brabus:t-hands: .

Well if there are more RS models than is there even a reason to have S? I mean seriously, it's like AUDI have two sperate divisions while BMW have M and Mercedes have AMG.

    Anyone?

Let me pose a question to you:

What do you see more of while you are out and about, an Audi S4 or an Audi RS4?
  6. NarutoRamen Well-Known Member

Honestly? In my area, neither. LOL :D

    :D

OK, Well I'll tell you, you are always going to see more S4's, thats because they are the attainable sports car. Sports car performance with out wiping out your wallet. RS is for the true enthusiasts and the big wallets.

The S cars are the bridge between the normal cars and the high performance RS cars. But they all come out of Quattro GMBH mind you.

    PS
You say MB only has AMG but why is there a S63 and an S65 or CL63 and CL65 AMG. I know not quite the same concept but still.

I understand what you're saying. To be honest...I didn't look at the MB situation like that but I guess you're right. So that leaves only M-division with only 1 car. Thanks!

    hi

the spec in the source might not be that accurate. and btw, is 2.5 5cyl 20V engine from Ford/Volvo?!
  11. Yperion Well-Known Member

No. Why would Audi use a Volvo engine? ;)

BTW Audi had used a Turbocharged 5 Cyl (2.2 lt) in the legendary Quattro.
  12. Iceman New Member

No based on the Volkswagen US 2.5 liter 20v 5 cylinder engine.

    Hans.

I hope the engine for the TT isnt a lowly 20 valve though.
