+ Stylish, effortlessly rapid, good value on a bang-per-buck basis - Not enough driver involvement, leaves us waiting for a great S-car More: Driven: 2012 Audi S6 saloon review and pictures | evo
Impressive time by the S6. Audi has now changed the S6 Sedan time from 4.9 to 4.6 seconds. (4.7 seconds for the S6 Avant) Makes you look forward and imagine what monster the RS6 will be... Source. Fourtitude.com
And A6 3.0 BiTDi with only 313hp does it in 5.1 seconds. It wasnt about any surprise, but more about that Audi changed the official figures. The RS6 will be a total monster-
The S6 package in that red color really completes the package of the A6 to me. As usual, the regular form is too bland (elegant? Simple? Pure?) to me to get excitable about, but the added spices from the "S" package give it a somewhat exotic twists that rounds it out nicely. I dig.
You know, my neighbour just bought a white fully equipped A6 3.0T with S-line and 20" rims. Maaaaan, that car makes me drool so hard every time I see it. It looks amazing, and I would go as far as saying it's the best looking car in the segment. With the right equipment. Another friend of mine just bought a brand new A6 2.0T. It's nothing special, just normal 17" rims and no s-line package. Talk about difference! The white one looks something like this, but with 20" RS5 rims!
It's not bad looking, however after just seeing the A4 facelift IRL for the first time, I have to say it looks much better that the A6.
It's hard to be 100% accurate but by my reckoning the S6 accelerates to 100km/h in roughly 4.4s, 160km/h in 9.8s and between 180km/h and 250km/h takes just over 13s. All times that impress me anyway and not a million miles away from an RS5.
It's an unbelievable time and one I will need to see repeated before I will class it as normal. But if this figure does prove to be normal then 420hp is a laugh.
