Would you expect a V10 or V6? I don't think an Audi RS deserves anything less than a 5, 8 or 10 cylinder.
Yeah, but now it seems the RS4, RS5, S6, Rs6, S7, RS7 and S8 will all be using a 4.0 TT V8. I don't get it.
S4 is still my choice here - It's probably the best car Audi has to offer after the R8. If the RS4 Avant turn out to be a better performer than the RS5 I'll admire them
My thoughts exactly. It might well be better because the Avant will probably have a slightly better weight distribution, though it may well end up weighing more.
There's a rumor that the output will be upped to maybe as high as 470hp, frankly I can't comment on whether this is true but if it is does this not mean the RS5 facelift will also receive the increase?
It ain't going to happen Martin, unlike BMW who continue to support manual on their M cars Audi have taken a different approach and have almost exclusively dropped the manual in favour of S-Tronic when possible and automatic when not, all future RS cars will not be manual.
Pity, all of the best Audis have been manuals - RS4, S4 (manual is best in this car imo), R8 (the best ones are manuals).
The sad part is that this car will be out right before a new M3. And then it will be outshined AGAIN. Really, why does it take Audi centuries to develop a RS model?
