That statement sounds so familiar, i.e. M3GTS. At least here is a car which is unique in construction and styling, plus unlike the GTS it's dramatically lighter.

A bit unfair to say it doesn't look good. But it's totally different to the R8 in concept and application.

I do not like Audi's actual look, except TT, Q7 and R8 that in my opinion looks to arrogant, but if I like the Quattro above all, it then really means it looks good.

Please keep it on topic. Thanks.

How can one explain reasons for why at a theorical price this car could be view as still reasonable value without using other examples at similar money which don't meet the same high standards that this car has set.

On this occasion I think my 'off topic' excursion was justified. :t-cheers:

Even if this Quattro costs very much, it does make sense. I think this car if produced will be a limited production. I wish to see more of such cars, like the Lancia Stratos, Lamborghini Miura, just what Mercedes did with the SLS AMG. For BMW M its not possible to build a limited production run of M1 (Original), as it would cost 1.000.000 € that are not worth, unless they build it as the first one, based on a Lamborghini. Let us say R8 GT with BMW M badge and a revised M3 CSL engine at the back.

Audi quattro: Limited edition under consideration, price target revealed!

    November 29, 2010

[IMG] Audi is considering a limited edition run of the Audi quattro, for a targeted price of around 100.000 Euro. Bring it on!
The production could start as early as 2012 if the green light is given soon. But even it will not go into production, Audi will use some lessons learned for future models such as the combined use of aluminum and carbon.

That is the third time I have heard this figure mentioned so maybe there a little truth in it. Based on the current exchange rate this would place it 10% less than an R8v8 which would mean approximately £76K in the UK.

Kind of falls inline with my early predictions. I wonder how that happened. ;)

I want one, honestly It started me despising the car, now I keep going back and forth looking at it, it is soo beautiful :)

ooh, let me guess... same way you claimed A7 and Panamera share a platform?

Seriously, cut the stupid crap, it doesn't take a genius or inside information to predict the car will cost somewhere in between RS5 and R8.

That was what I thought was being hinted at the time, we are allowed to get it wrong occasionally are we not. :t-hands:

Well the fun thing is that I (to the best of my knowledge) was the only one on the net and among the motoring press to suggest this price banding. I also don't recall you mentioning much, so does that make you further away from being a genius than me. :eusa_thin

But if it makes you feel better and that little bit more important then call it a lucky guess. (y)

Who is "we"? It is just you making a fool of yourself.

You also won't see me mentioning how I have driven a car with all possible wheels or how I own zillion cars with nothing to back it up. It just makes me further from being a bombastic prick.

And yup, I am still waiting for those pics of your collection on your driveway, you promised. Guess I will be waiting for a long ass time.

I've already posted pics of the M3, so no need for it then.

Here's my first Cayenne which I photoshopped on to my driveway. :eusa_doh:

Yeah at that time it was new and only put in a few months, sad to say now it's got a fair pencentage of field grass into it too which takes away the beauty.

Far cry from the long list you promised in the other thread right? ;)

BTW serious question, what cars do you own right now?

Gents, please, let's leave the d!ck measuring contest for either:

You can interrogate each other outside of this thread. Thanks.

Martin, I didn't start it and nor do I want to continue it. At every opportunity Sunny questions whether I have drive this or owned that and tell me what response am I to take. I'm not the one acting very childish here.

    Please advise.

Let the record reflect that contravention of the forum rules will be met with disciplinary action. We have no choice but to issue a warning to Sunny for inappropriate language. Too many warnings = problem. So let's steer clear of that.

^ Now back to the discussion that is important. :eusa_doh:

As long as it remains as faithful as possible to the concept then I reckon this will be one of the most desireable cars to own and cherish for the next several years above many other so called limited run specials.
