This, ladies and gentleman, is the Auzzie made, AMX07 which is a rebodied 2nd generation Mazda Miata / MX-5 Roadster! The AMX07, which is available as a kit or as a completed vehicle completely transforms a standard, 1989-1997 Mazda MX-5 Miata (NA series) into a wanna-have an Aston Martin for the poor
Brainchild of Brisbane-based Custom Automotive Restyling, the AMX07 was awarded the “Dare To Be Different” trophy at the Gold Coast Autosalon, on June 3-4.

Euch. Reminds me of the Toyota Supra-based "Ferrari" kits that enjoyed some popularity a decade ago.

It's hilarious for all the wrong reasons. Ugly.

There's a nice on the side to the rear deck, though - it just makes me think that they could have done a stylish, non-copy rebody and made it look good, instead of this try-hard monstrosity.

Probably not the best executed restyling of this car but I can understand why they tried to do that. After all the Astons are among the very sharpest looking cars there are today.

Funny, a while ago I saw this modified 'black x metal' new MX-5 by Japanese tuners which has some resemblence to an Aston Martin as well.

well, even though i hate these wanna-be guys, this is a very nice job. Except of the front, which looks "too much" for me.

That Japanese black one looks much better. Heck, if it wasn't for the wannabe grille and cheapo badge on the front, it'd be a decent body kit for the MX-5 in itself. The panel fit kills the grey one's, and overall integration with the existing design is much better.
