Conclusion: "Panamera is large and heavy but as a luxury sedan with sporty ambitions, the car sets a new standard. Roomy and comfortable and at the same time sportier than a 750i."

Thanks for posting - don't forget to fix the photos! Autobild will remove links after some days! And then this thread is empt…

Lol...I was just getting ready to post this article. Between the two, I wouldn't know which one I would pick. I like the 750's exterior, but the Porsche interior is more my style. Both are great cars. Very interesting that they didn't included the S-class. Guess the Porsche wasn't a Match. :D j/k

Good comparison, but I wish there was more material to read, though there will soon be similar comparisons surfacing. The Panamera interior is absolutely surreal, spaceship on wheels.

It is! F01 looks small next to it! Would go for the BMW though! Much better looking!

Panamera is lower and wider but shorter than a 7-series.

I understand Porsche reason for having the hatch back look, but I would still prefer it without the hatchback look.

The 7 series looks good in dark colors, but I would like to see it in Red or a light blue.

This : "Panamera is large and heavy but as a luxury sedan with sporty ambitions, the car sets a new standard. Roomy and comfortable and at the same time sportier than a 750i." and that the tester prefer the Porsche. Its not exactly a deep comparison.

That's because the guy was busy giggling in the back of the 7 series instead of writing an in-depth article like he should have.

I thought the Panamera was a M5/CLS63/E63/XFR/RS6/Quattroporte competitor? Beating a BMW 7-Series through the corners is nothing to be coners ain't squat to be commended for. Shouldn't this be the S8 at least? A 750i sport isn't going to grapple with a Porsche.

If we are to go by Porsche's lap time around the ring, it is the fastest four door car on the market. Though the true achievements, the M5 has a few years on it's neck. The true testament will be the F10 M5 which will perfectly be launched around the same months as the Panamera facelift in late 2011/early 2012.

Expect a plethora of comparisons against a whole range of similar cars; S8, E63 AMG, RS6, Continental GT, Quattroporte and others.

The Panamera does actually compete across two segments -- M5/E63/RS6 as well as the larger wide body cruisers like the 7er, A8, S-Class and LS. It's difficult to place it one single basket as it is a car with of very unique characteristics. It has dual personalities which are sport and luxury.

I guess by the expression of the gentleman sitting in the back seat comparo we can easily tell which car he prefers ;)
