Haha yeah! I jumped the gun and I understand now what he was trying to say. I am happy to have learned something, though. So, thanks to Scott, South, and you, I stand corrected and I am happy to stand corrected in this situation. :t-cheers:
Yes, this is indeed the M Sport Package for the 6 Series. Perhaps people should have listened to me when I said that the photos in this thread were NOT the M Sport package? Beemer B773ER, I'm talking to you.
Not so fast, have a look at this post. As you can see from the number plates, it's the same car but has lost some of the camo. I thought I had convinced you back then. Anyway, welcome back! Best regards, south
Hmmm.....:eusa_thin I'm a little more convinced now..... The exhausts do look different though. Bare metal compared with chrome. Is it not inconceivable that they swap number plates between mules that are virtually identical? If I'm wrong then I apologise to Beemer B773ER. And you! Well, if you've got something to say then you may as well say it to as many people as possible. Besides which, I'll be sharing my time between the BMW and Audi forum from now on, so hopefully won't have to deal with certain individuals as often.
I don't think German regulations allow to swap number plates. They're assigned to a car (VIN) for as long as the owner doesn't change and the car is used by that owner. Another car on the same plates would also be visible on the TUV seals, but they happen to be the same (next general inspection in 12/2013). No need to apologize to me. Best regards, south
Well you are. That's the end of that. ---- http://www.germancarforum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=502235&d=1301334133 http://www.germancarforum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=502723&d=1301418307 What a staggering difference! The silver 6er looks like a real porker, while the black one looks so sleek it could almost pass as a 3er Coupe replacement. The color and wheels make a significant difference in this case!
It's not really rocket science. Bigger wheels on the black car (20") compared with 19" on the silver one, combined with a darker colour compared with a lighter colour, is always going to make the black one look smaller.
No. You said "in this case", which implies this wouldn't always be the case on other cars. Also, you declared surprise and merely pointed out that the black car looked smaller than the silver car, without seemingly understanding that ANY car in a darker colour combined with larger wheels will ALWAYS make the bodyshell appear smaller. What I said may have been what you were thinking, but it certainly wasn't what you said. It's good to be back!
Complain to the mods in the correct way rather than clogging up threads with remarks like the one above. And don't use the term "we" when you are speaking for yourself. I've been back only a few hours and already it's started.
It's not really rocket science. --- I wonder what wheel design they will opt for this sports-package? All other M Sport-Package wheels have been rather dull and short-less the impressive and aggressive look of the body kits. They have to give this package something much more impressive!
I don't want to get in the middle of your debate here but I think you guys judge Betty's post more because of the author, not because of the content itself. I myself can't see anything bad in his post, but if you do you might as well ignore it. And about the car, I love the 20 inchers, the 19 inchers look quite bland, maybe due to the lack of the badge or something Anyway, my goodness the Coupé is stunning
Betty,,,,, are you a lawyer??? I´m having some problems with some parking tickets,,,,,I´ll be damned if "YOU" can´t get me off the hook!!!
Wise words on two counts. They could "ignore user" as that is what it's designed for surely? Or, ignore it and report to the mods. If I did write something bad then my comments will be deleted and I will be punished. What definitely SHOULDN'T be tolerated is Sunny getting involved and insulting me and my apparent "dickish" attitude. Especially not when if I'd have said that, I would have been suspended immediately. I suspect what Beemer B773ER is a bit put by is that I said "it's not rocket science", which indeed it isn't. The rest of what I said is completely valid. He just said "the wheels". Not everybody would know the significance of the fact that the black car has wheels which are 20" and the silver ones are 19". Beemer B773ER's post does not make that clear. I argue my point to him well and then when he reaches his limit, he says "do we have to put up with this again?"
Could you enlighten me as to how to activate this function? I'll be first in line, front row, center for this one!
Guys, I am confused!!! Is the M pack for the 6er official? A leading Dutch newspaper has a page wide ad from BMW Netherlands showing the 6er coupe WITH M pack.... What is this?? Looks stunning btw! I will make a photo for proof to show it here.
I ordered the M Sport package on my new coupe. For US market, it includes "373M wheels with performance tires, full LED headlights, multi contour seats, LED fog lights, M steering wheel, Aero kit, Alcantara headliner, sport tuned exhaust system, tailpipes in dark chrome, painted brake calipers, M footrest, M doorsills, and increased speed limiter." I can hardly wait...!
