^^With headlight-grill integration, that little piece of metal between roundel and grill looks even more awkward. How is it secured. To hood or grill?
Yes, I agree! And that's my favorite 7 series ever! All I can say is: facelifted 2001 740i Sport. Absolutely lovely:
Eyes of the Jag XJ... however, doesn't the 7:er usually set the tone of the design language of its gereration? This doesn't strike me as having "it".
Quite right. It did so for two generations at least, maybe even three. This render here is nothing but a cheap shot at mixing 7er with F30.
HIDEOUS overwrought front end on an otherwise homogenized design. Let's hope it doesn't look like that. The current 7 owners who don't want to spend money on a new one however would be happy to see that thing show up.
May I ask what is the source of this render? PS. Please post your source of such photos. Sometimes they are good material for the frontpage, but it wouldn't be right to post them without a link to the source.
The source is AutoZeitung. http://www.autozeitung.de/auto-neuheiten/bmw-mercedes-35-neue-modelle-aller-klassen-im-vergleich
I think I like it..... It is a safe design... not outlandish, but very safe. btw: LOVE that red E38 7-Series with the 128 wheels. Very Beautiful.
I'm sorry haha I know you've told me a couple times already. I'll make it a habit posting the source.
I hope not! I just don't like the idea of it looking like the 3er. I feel there should be a visible distinction among the different series of BMW, not that I would buy the 7er as I am already looking at the next S600.
The grille has become a bit smaller and sleeker. I still don't like the whole kidney meets the lights thing BMW seems to be doing. The car overall looks good in that render, though.
That is a pathetic render. It's just the current 7-series with an F30's face grafted on. It's ridiculous.
The final design of the next 7-series is likely not finished, but will be within the next 9 months. It doesn't even have a chassis code yet(F??).
Lovely! My mother used to have a '01 740iL Highline Sport until about 6 1/2 years ago when it was replaced with a 2006 760Li. I was so sad to see it go considering how she initially hated the E65 when it debuted in 2001, yet gave in to the facelift 4 years later. I had even hoped she would keep it for me as a first car, but sadly my parents felt they needed the room for other cars.
