Exactly. It's easy to forget that Daimler is the 2nd largest truck manufacturer in the world but only the 13th largest car manufacturer.

Is that all M-B branded Trucks, or Daimler branded, or a combo of both?

Combo, but there's no Daimler branded trucks, just some divisions they've bought like Western Star, Freightliner,Mitsubishi Fuso etc.

And wikipedia says they were number 1 in the world as of 2009

Ah, that's what it must be. I've seen "Daimler Trucks" in recent articles (they're in the News right now due to adding a bunch of jobs in the U.S), but the grilles and branding were clearly not M-B.

There are no Daimler badged trucks, there are Mercedes badged trucks, the Mercedes Actros is one of the biggest selling heavy trucks in Europe. As you can see it's clearly branded Mercedes. It doesn't appear to cause any harm to Mercedes automobile sales.

Damn, M-B manages to make even Big Rigs sexy. :D

And the ML is hugely expensive, with a few options it's going to be over 1 million NOK for an ML250, that's why the C Class van will be perfect, loads of room, smaller than an R Class and most likely cheaper than an E Class wagon.

Auto Motor und Sport speculates on a 2015 next C-Class (W205) based van.

Wolfgang this looks more like something that would be based off the B class then the next C class.

The BMW isn't too bad, the MINI version is nasty. My wife drives a Touran, it will need to be replaced in a couple of years, I would replace it with either the BMW or the Mercedes so long as it has enough space across the back for three kids, two of which will be in child seats.

    Autoweek mentioned a 2014 Mercedes C-Class Van recently? ;)
