Here is the first photo of the new Lexus ES; the rest should be unveiled very soon. Looks quite good if you ask me.
For once I have to agree, that doesn't look bad at all. Its curvy and the grille looks much better intergrated. Looks different from those pics we saw of an ES250 in China???? Interior going to be a epic failure I bet. M
It looked awful in those pre-pics, and looks anything but good or totally terrible here. Kind of a blank-canvase, see it then forget it design. I still want to see more pics to figure out if it looked as disjointedly bad as those mules or whatever they were (uncovered) did.
Surprised to see typically the most boring, bland and front wheel drive Lexus quite possibly looking better than the new GS.
Yes, I also think it looks even better than the GS. If it goes further so, the next IS may be the most beautiful Lexus, and if it'll keep a NA V8 for the F model......It may be a very good altenative to the up-coming M3 with FI I6.
Now, being more serious, I saw the first pic posted by Shining Star yesterday and said to myself: "it's nice looking" However the pics today gave me a totally different view. It doesn't look nice (nor ugly, however): the front end isn't as harmonius as it seems in the first picture, the rear end is as generic asiatic as possible and even more, there is that overused pseudo Hofmeister kink ala Infiniti or the new Chevy Impala. Not bad but not great by any means. I actually do think it looks more balanced and executed than the blahzay GS. The new Lexus front end has to GO. Terrible.
This actually looks much better than the GS. Too bad this is the snore-box Lexus. The interior is kinda ugly though and I hate the mouse thingy. Yuck. M
I wonder is their designer on the payroll of just about every one of Lexus rivals because he/she is doing a sterling job of destroying all the good work it's engineers have done under the shell. That interior needs mentioning, it's as ugly as sin.
