Mclaren cometh! Finally the upgrades are working. They started the year with excellent performance but fumbled too many times while Ferrari were the 3-4th fastest time they have improved and capitalized greatly on their chances. Grosjean is still brewing a victory and will win a race this year if he managed to curb his GP2 DNA and not take ever opportunity to win a position too seriously. What business did he have going wheel to wheel with Bruno Senna in the first corner last week? Bruno is a backmaker that he would have passed in a matter of laps anyways.

Yup they are back and strong, but the big issue is getting those tires up to temperature on wet conditions, don't know what Ferrari did but 3s is a big gap to the mclaren, Ferrari is ready for any kind of condition, wet dry or very hot. I hope they really fixed the issue with pitstops and damn 2.31s is crazy fast. What got me pissed is hamiltons puncture, I think they should've let out the safety car to clear the debris on t1.

Yeah Mclaren has had appalling wet weather performance so I pray today today will be bone dry. Ferrari have done the best with an all around car. Grojean is a big threat. When he is quick, his tyre performance towards the 5-10 final laps are better than anyone. He would have had Alonso in Valencia and past Lewis in Canada had the race been a lap longer.
Prefect drive by Lewis! However I'm confident enough to bet all my life savings on Kimi winning in Spa!
Grojean blew it with the mistakes he made on two consecutive laps while he was chasing down Lewis, during his 2nd stint and lost more than 1 second.
Spa is a power circuit and the renault engine and KERS system are not the most powerful. I bet Hamilton and McLaren to Win but Rosberg and Schumacher of Mercedes GP to be the dark horse if they can get the tyres to work properly.
Mclaren were disastrous at Spa and Monza last year and were out paced on raw speed by Red Bull. Lotus does have a big top speed deficit but I'm sure they'll début their newly invented double DRS at Spa which will give them a much needed boost in quali. Today they were by far the fastest car and had overtaking have been possible at Hungary, Lotus would have finished with a 1-2. It's on low fuel that the E20 truly comes to life and we've seen it in Bahrain, Valencia, Canada and now Hungary. Lotus biggest problems to overcome is the skill gaps between their drivers and rivals. Grosjean is an amazing qualifier and has blistering speed, but he's performance is a bit of a coin toss. Either he's amazing or he DNF. Kimi on the other hand has a world class race craft and drives with his head, but he's not comfortable in qualifying. The field is tight and unless they sort out either of the drivers they might not win a race which they should have done by now. Merc, oh Merc, oh Merc. What a massive step in the wrong direction they have taken. It's really embarrassing to see their car performance being worse than Williams and Lotus. As for the championship hopes I rate Red Bull to be favourites. They might not be perfect at the moment but when they unlock their potential their performance is in a league of its own.
