It´s amazing how focused and fast is Alonso this season. When Ferrari has given him a proper car to fight in the same conditions than his rivals, he has just shown its magic.

    GRANDE ALONSO!!

He's showing his magic since he started his career :)
See what Massa is capable of doing with the exact same car... :)

I´m happy to see there are other forumers that support spanish people. It seems there some kind of spanish hate around the net. Don´t know if it´s because our economic situation or due to we are winning everything in terms of sports since a few years.

    I asume you ain´t spanish.
  11. mini_cooper4 Well-Known Member

Other than my name nothing else is spanish about me :)
I only support the one who's best :)

PS: I only hate haters :D
  12. Gianclaudio Well-Known Member

I support Alonso for the same reason mini_cooper4 says, he's the best F1 driver period, and IMO, the best since Senna (I watch F1 since 1987 :D )

And I think the "hate" is not to the country or people itself, at least in south america it has more to do with the banks and other mega companies (Repsol, for example) and their flirt with some corrupt south american goverments and dirty business.
No hate here though :) and much love, as I love flamenco (Paco de Lucia ES Dios)

    Regards!

I'm a frequent hater of Alonso, but that has nothing to do with his nationality. I simply don't like his personality whether it be on the track or off it.

And I think most of the Alonso hate around is personality based. As for other sports, I don't watch them so Ive no idea.

Good race, even though there weren't any dramatic changes of positions at the front of the field for most of the race, the tension between the top 4 were present through out, and there were a lot of action in the mid field. Alonso had just enough speed to hold off the challengers. Jenson's speed was as surprise, he came back from the dead, hope he can maintain this form and cause the championship leaders a few more headache. Vettel's penalty was harsh but justified. I don't believe he went off the track to 'avoid a collusion', he can always apply the brakes, let Jenson through and then attack him again at a better location. Yet again Lotus could have achieved much more if they got their strategy correct. It was very ironic to see Grosjean having an absolutely shocking weekend right after he rejected Jackie Stewart's offer to coach him.

Mercedes still couldn't figure out how to translate their qualifying speed to good race pace, they were still fading away during the race, very much like how they are drifting behind in their car's development relative to others. I really hope Ross can sort this out as soon as possible because the team doesn't look like it is capable of challenging for race wins this year, let alone next year.
