Just goes to show how paint and wheels can make a (to me) visually rather unattractive car look quite handsome.
I agree, though the E is/was starting to grow on me anyway. Next up new V6 and V8s for the 2012 E's. M
Would love a combination of blue or red exterior colour, light brown interior and natural curly marple. I think this could be a stunning combination and would really add sth. to the E-Class interior.
Must say: That Bordeaux Metallic (or whatever that particular color is actually called) suits an AMG'd W212 really well. The car is downright attractive. And me saying that as not the big fan of the W212s' exterior design. Very refreshing as most W212s' here in Germany are either various shades of grey or black, a bit less frequently white. Or taxicab beige.
I think so too Jimmy. Here's some pics of our E in cuprite brown, which is another unsuaul colour. Not bad looking if I say so myself. lol http://www.germancarforum.com/my-car-owner-galleries/31985-our-new-e350-cdi.html On a serious note, I wish we actually had such reasonably priced Designo options here in the Australian Market. $10,000+ for a special paint job...they've got to be kidding. Especially since you'll recoup exactly $0 of it when it comes time to resell.
That is indeed an uncommon color, Mr. Mercedes. Very tasteful. And the interior is beautiful, I may add. Browns are enjoying a resurgence of sorts here in Germany. They were very popular over here in the 1970s' but only now has the color brown (for automobiles) been rediscovered. I'm quite partial to them, I must admit. And there are some good ones out there. Porsches' Macadamia Brown, for example. Or the brownish-grey Mojave from BMW. And of course M-Bs' Designo offerings.
Very nice. That Blue is just stunning on this car. If I ever replaced mine with another W212, I'd go right for that Blue. Also, the W212 will be a featured "character" in the new Transformers Movie, in that Designo Blue. I'd post pics but Photobucket is down right now it seems. Does anyone have any IRL pics of a Benz in that new "Platinum White Edition – Magno Cashmere White", or seen it IRL? Now the E has 3 different White variations available, with Arctic, Diamond, and Magno Cashmere. And those interiors are INCREDIBLE!!
