Ferrari's wing mirror arrangement is utterly appalling, and Renaults front nose isn't very pretty. What I do like is Williams top inlets, makes the car look like a jet:), and their car is pretty much thanks tot he dark colour.

Doesn't look extremely revolutionary, compared to (say) renault. Hoping their hiding bits and pieces. I personally expected BMW to have the most 'revolutionary' car, mainly because in the past they've tended to bend the rules as far as they possibly could.

Oh well, tt looks nice, but I hope it takes them to the World Championship this year.

Haha, it is a close runner up to the Renault in the fugly category. It looks like some junior formula car next to last year's car.

One interesting thing to note is the aero seems close to the aero introduced in the F1.08B. There are slightly different details and so on, but what makes it interesting is that due to cost cutting, there will only be 5 pre-season tests, no tests mid-season, and only one car per constructor is allowed to take part.

Given that BMW started testing the first test of post-season testing 2008 with two cars, across three-four post-season tests. If my armchair expert calculations are right, they have effectively 6 tests more data on 2009 aero (at least) than any other team (assume three tests and two cars running at each test).

Of course they showed their cards first with regard to the aero. Hrmmm, let see if it pays off.

The BMW's front wing can be used as a book case...

it's a trend started by Schumi back in 2005, to monitor rear tyre wear. MS's F2005 was often seen with a higher right wing mirror.

in 2006, they made the wing mirror go higher for better aero effieciency as well as to monitor the rear tyres again.

i agree with you that the Williams indeed is a stunner.

Yes, the BMW is very upright and angular. There are a lot of flat surfaces and the white colour scheme makes it look very boring.

I think the latest regulations (Wide front wing, high rear wing, narrow track) makes all light colours cars boring and bordering on ugly.

The Renault is by far the most interesting car thus far. Its nose cone looks like it was designed by the folks at Lego. I wonder if it generates any aero advantage. The rear end of the Renault is quite unique.

The bmw looks boring i was expecting something better from bmw.
    It really looks dull.
I think sofar the best looking is the macca and the williams..
But i think the williams coulors are only for testing as i read on planetf1 forum.

It's the cleanest & one of the nicest, only the livery is boring. Something good is hat the car is almost identical to the hybrid wich means the data they gathered is much more useful than datas of the rest of the grid.

Guess you just need to know where to look :)

The sidepods on the front spoiler makes the car look incredibly disproportionate. And I can smell a new front wing aero circus on the way.

BMW's rollout was very good, 73 laps completed in a dry track without any problem and work on setup already started.
