Bugatti
Italian born Ettore Bugatti produced his first car in 1899 at the age of 19. In 1909 he started his factory in Molsheim, Alsace. Bugattis were known for their advanced engineering in their premium road cars. The company's success culminated with driver Jean-Pierre Wimille winning the 24 hours of Le Mans twice (in 1937 with Robert Benoist and 1939 with Pierre Veyron). Volkswagen AG purchased the rights to produce cars under the Bugatti marque in 1998.

Spyker Cars N.V. is a Dutch hand-built automobile manufacturer founded in 1999 and the owner of Saab. The company is not related to or controlled by the previous Spyker company that went bankrupt in 1929. The modern Spyker Cars only has the legal right to the brand name. Cadillac is the oldest automobile manufacturer to originate in Detroit, Michigan. The company is named after the French explorer who founded the city. The Chrysler Corporation began as the Maxwell Motor Corporation, which Walter P Chrysler took control to help it out of bankruptcy. He founded the Chrysler Corporation in 1925. In November 1998 Chrysler became a division of DaimlerChrysler AG, created by a merger between Daimler-Benz AG and the Chrysler Corporation. In 2007 Chrysler split from Daimler to become Chrysler LLC. Chrysler Group LLC was formed after the restructuring of its financing in June 2009.

Dodge
Dodge was founded by John and Horace Dodge, who began manufacturing bicycles in 1899. In 1910 the Dodge brothers set out to become the biggest auto parts manufacturers, and in 1914 they unveiled the first Dodge car. Dodge cars and trucks became known for their ruggedness, and in 1928 Dodge was purchased by the Chrysler Corporation. It is now a part of the Chrysler Group LLC which has an alliance with Fiat.
