BRILLIANCE

So the Chinese make cars now, eh? I wasn't impressed at all with the BS4 and BS6. They felt flimsy and cheap inside and out. That's all you need to know, and the fact that they suck at crash tests. Perhaps the only Brilliance which made a decent impression was the red coupe, the BC3. The interior looked very good but the quality still felt a bit flimsy, but better than in the other two. It also looked better in real life than in the press photos. It will be interesting to see how the brand will do in Europe. I'm sure the cars will appeal to a certain crowd.

BUGATTI

Nothing to say here, awesome car. It's completely pointless and marks the top of the excess in extreme list, hence it's so awesome.









BYD AUTO

I was surprised that these guys were here. Remember that piss poor Mercedes CLK copy? These guys made it. And because these guys are known to copy other carmakers, I only took one crappy photo of their crappy stand. Notice how their cars resemble older Toyota models. I'm sure there is some sort of license agreement between Byd and Toyota - or they simply copied them.





CADILLAC

The cars I was most interested in here were the CTS and XLR. The new CTS is a pretty nice car overall. I've got ample room on the inside and interior is great for a GM/Cadillac interior. The XLR was pretty nice, but a bit to boxy for my tastes. The STS was a very nice car, probably my favorite ride from the Cadillac section. I thought the Escalade hybrid was rather pointless (added weight of the electric motor and battery is supposed to improve fuel economy in an already overweight car!?!?). The BLS was pretty sweet but it is struggling to sell in Europe.
