M5 700hp vs. Porsche 997 turbo 700hp - The Unofficial BMW M5 Messageboard (m5board.com)

Here are the details:

M5 specs: ASR Engineering Stage 3 NOS kit
ASR Engineering NOS kit 150 shot
ASR Engineering full exhaust
ASR Intake

Porsche 997 turbo
Specs: Protomotive 700 hp package
Upgraded V.V turbos
full exhaust
(Please keep in mind Porsche info/specs are based upon what we were told by the owner of the car)

We have #2 videos one from the passanger in the M5 and another from the outside, we were only able to upload the one from the inside of the car tonight, I will post the other one tomorrow......

This was a great race also keep in mind there were #2 people in the M5 (driver and passanger) and the Porsche only had the driver in the car no passanger.....So despite the M5 being already heavier then the Porsche, the M5 has an extra person also....

Also in the posted video the proper run starts at the 49sec mark.....I am in no way bashing the Porsche I have #2 my self, and the one running in the video is very fast......but I have to give props to BMW, that 7 speed gear box is awsome.......

Also note we tried to get a second run but the Porsche got a nail in the tire and the M5 ran out of NOS.....But we plan on having a rematch, and were going to throw in a modded Z06 into the mix....But for the time being enjoy the video......
