Simple Question: M5 or M6 ??

OK, so I lied, it's a simple question to ask, ..but a damn difficult one to answer.
So, the question is, which one would you prefer to have, M5 or M6.
Use whatever criterias are important to you, whether they be looks, power, handling, body-shape, every-day use...... whatever aspects float your boat.

M5 or M6, now that's the question,
you're probably sittin there stressing,
thinkin which to choose, which one's gotta lose, ..oh wat to do?

Go toss a coin, ..yeh that might get U to a conclusion,
but you're still sittin there in an utter state of confusion,
You wanna pick the 5, but for the 6 U also care,
n now the pressure to choose makes U feel like ur on Millionaire,
Reages in his seat, U feel ur heart beat,
U wish U had both cars, so U could burn up the street,
But U don't, so you're gonna have to make a choice,
and no, U can't have both after U trade-in ur Rolls Royce,

I know it's hard to choose, ..but no one said life was gonna be easy boy,
So think long and hard about it, n vote for the car that you want as your toy!

Re: Simple Question: M5 or M6 ??

dont get me wrong, I love the M6 but the choice is pretty easy. The M5 is so much more special for a couple reasons. First of all the name means more. The name, M5, has so much more nostalgia. It brings back memories of a series of super fast saloons. The M5 is also special because its a little less "look at me" than the M6. Plus the car looks better and meaner (especiallt from the front). Also when you buy an M5 you know your getting the fastest saloon in the world. When you buy an M6 your getting a fast coupe of many. So there you go. I would choose the M5. But mostly, because of looks.

I have to say I love both cars, though I voted for the M5, just for the fact that it has more room.

The performance of M5 and M6 is too close... but M5 can give a more flexibly... and I love 5series much more than 6series....

Re: Simple Question: M5 or M6 ??

The M5 is good if you want a practical car and able to travel comfortable with 4 people but since I dont have any children and the car is only for me then I choose M6.

M5 and M6 may have the same engine but they are different to drive. M6 has a. sportier feeling. You only have to sit in the car to notice its more driver orinted. M6 has better handling and its also faster in straightlines. But the question is if its worth the price? Only you can decide but its imposible to answer if you havent been in both.

Here is a race between M5 and M6, the second race both cars have the same settings.

Re: Simple Question: M5 or M6 ??

I voted for the M5 since the handling advantage of the 6m isn't enough to make me ignore the fact that the M5 has four doors, looks better and is more practical.

This M5 over any M6.

Re: Simple Question: M5 or M6 ??

Well I'm not going to give you a bunch of technical none sense but the M6 is a bit lighter and has a lower center of gravity due to the coupe shape and the lower height than the M5.

Ok but I thought you were discussion laptimes, thats why I asked

But its difficult to answer Warots question if people havent driven them both. Now people can only vote after the car they think looks better or what they think is a better car to drive. If people driven them both it would be easier to answer his poll. So I guess I have to take this poll with a grain of salt

Sorry I don't have any lap times to share . Hmm in this case it doesn't matter that much if you have driven them or not. You don't have to drive a car to know if it looks good, have four doors and is practical.

if you care about handling and sportiness you need too. But if you only want a 4-door and not a 2-door, then there is nothing to discuss

I do care about handling and sportiness but looks and practicality can sometimes out weigh those factors and in this case they do.

M5 for me! It's more practical than the M6, you can carry more people and stuff, and looks a bit better. It carries long long long history on her badge. BTW, i'm not into coupes.

Re: Simple Question: M5 or M6 ??

This is a really hard poll for me! BTW I have sat in both cars!

The E39 M5 was the car that made me love BMW, it was my dream car when it came out and I loved it. I watched the development of the E60 in pictures closely, and the E60 is now my dream car, it looks awesome and nothing can beat it in it's segiment!

The M6 is a great looking car to me, even better than the M5 IMO and it's slightly faster! I think it's interior is nicer than the M5 due to it being cosy and everything it to hand!

Now if I was married and had kids my choice would be different, but I'd take the M6, in black please, and red leather!

Re: Simple Question: M5 or M6 ??

M6 all the way, much better looking, much more exclusive, better finish materials like the 7er and a better investment overall.
5 years after my M6 will be a lot more $$ than your old M5.
