Short summary:

- The goal is to release three new M models every year
- When a new model have been released, the maximum wait for a M-version is 1.5 years
- The reason why it took so long time for the Z4M to come was because of the V10. It took BMW 3-4 years of development and to build the V10.
- M-cars we will never see, X5M and M1. The X5M would cost to much, Since 1er isnt for sale in US we wont see a M1
- a diesel M will never come

Bruhnke have just ordered a M6 Cabriolet with leather roof

Interesting news. 3 M models in a year maens we will get M models from every line: sedans, tourings, coupe, cabrios etc in the future.

Only 1.5 year delay means we will see many components sharing over the M line - especially drivetrains.

No SUV M's is a known fact. Only "si" versions. But X6 - or whatever its name will be - will get the M version. M1 is also an issue because of the name: M1 is already used. We will see M2 instead: coupe & cabrio. 1er hatch will get "si" version - could get 135i with N54 bi-turbo - tuned to fit 1er market position.

Bruhnke getting M6 cabrio - his dreams came finally true. He was talking about this M6 dream in every possible interview. :D
I hope we will see the M6 cabrio release before the summer.
NY debute would be great. :D

The most interesting line:

The reason why it took so long time for the Z4M to come was because of the V10. It took BMW 3-4 years of development and to build the V10.

Meaning they were/are really testing Z4 M CSL version with 507HP V10 under the hood. :eek2:

I hope marketing dept. & BoM will give green light for this "killer car". :eusa_pray

Btw, you-know-who also told us about this in September 2005:

BMW also have the idea for a completely lightweight MZ4 coupe (MZ4 CSL)- utilising carbon fibre roof and body panels and a lightweight interior , This will be distinctive from theother M model as it will run the BMW V10 engine from the M5/M6 - in production form 507 BHP - which would make for a crazy performance coupe - The Z4 coupes long bonnet easliy incorporates the V10 engine. Brakes will be tuned to match the collossal power output the car will give - BMW;s plans is to offer this for production as a ltd edition model.

so 1.5 years from itro..the M3 sedan may be well on its way then:D

love the expansion of the line.. amg style.. go nutts:D--

ohh and he idnt rule out a M7.. now what did i tell you all..we will se a M7 based on the next 7er.. love it:D

Not realy, he may be meant that there wasn't enough ressources to develop Z4M during these 3-4 years.

Could be. :D

The last info I got was markting dept. wasn't found of this idea - V10 Z4M.
They are more fond of a V12 large luxury sport copue & big V10 roadster.

yep im most excited about a Z8 roadster replacement.. and a supercar from BMW..lets see what happens:D

I dont like the idea of a M7 but I rather see a M7 than a X5M. A M7 wont be my favorite M version but if BMW want to build one then go for it but please wait for the next generation. Then I hope the 7er will weigh less than current version.

What I really want to see is a supercar ala CGT :eusa_pray

A great supercar by BMW with a N/A v12 or v10 would be awsome:D

The next 7 will weigh as much as the current 5. Tech never stops evolving. I love it.

hmm are you just guessing or do you know??
i dont think the weight diffrence will be huge..its afterall a luxury car.. it might even have added weight..
i dont think M is waiting for a light weight..
they are waiting for a better looking car..so that they can make a superblooking M7..
so i stand by my previous point..this 7er is to ugly and wierd to bare the M badge.. dont care what BMW and their fans say..:D

Since the facelift , the 7er is a beauty and therefore your theory fail ;)

Alpina is a living proof that a 7er can look good with a kit so once again your little theory fail ;)

So I guess I dont care what you say ;)

and once again i dont care what bmw fans or bmw say..
the car is wierd..end of discussion...and thats why they dont make a M .. but they will never admit it..maybe in 20 years..
