I have no clue what it is. I'm not sure it's even a car. I am not getting my hopes up, we'll see when the time comes.

"Never stand still" will be a very interesting event. I'm sure it will have the GINA Light-like publicity effect.

Image campaign is huge right now at BMW AG. Expect to see results in a huge image boost (globally) in a year or two - boosted by new & very important markets like Russia, India, China, Middle East. Even in the US the image boost is recorded in the targeted population. Hydrogen7 is doing miracles, so did the "Company of ideas" campaign. Image of BMW AG & BMW brand has never been so strong. There was a small decline in Europe, but marketing people are working on that. The issue will be addressed soon.

I think the secret is hybrid technology and something to do with dynamic efficient.

The world's largest hourglass has been standing at the Red Square in Moscow since 6th July 2008.
The gigantic construction manufactured from acrylic and steel symbolises extraordinary success, which in turn serves as starting point for new levels of performance.



Total height: 11.90 metres
Width: 7.80 metres
Permanent weight: 40 tonnes
Height of visitor platform: 7.94 metres
Illumination: 44 fluorescent fixtures
Balls: 180,000 pieces of 75 millimetre diameter
Project duration: 4 months
Construction: 9 days with 20 staff

BMW is taking this approach as cause for a very special event.

As for your question Rob, I think Eni meant that the entire project of constructing the hourglass has taken 4 months, and that it has been situated in Red Square since July 6th, 08.

A new level of performance? .. hmm.. new M3 CSL maybe? Or a preview of the new Z8 Roadster Concept (doubtful since Russia wouldn't be the biggest market for a Roadster)..so hmmm...very captivating countdown

why so close after the 7series annoucement ?
why in a public area ?

this is really confusing me

russia is about the rich people - luxery
this shouldn't be about a new car - maybe a new individual line
a public area is more about a party, an event - you wouldn't close it directly after the annoucement

some new engine or manufactoring developments, would only bor people ...

If so, they wouldn't run this campaign internationally.

Why Russia ... it's one of the markets BMW brand & company needs an image boost. To fight MB.
